Problem in loading data to DSO
Hi,
I have a problem in loading the data to DSO through Info package. The delta request has been running for a long time, but no data has been loaded. The job details screen is showing as below.
Previously there was no issues with this chain.
Can some one guide me to solve this issue please.?

Date Key Figure with Aggregation Max
Hi
We have a date key figure and there has been changed in that key figure data in Generic data source. I can see that key figure data has been changed in ECC and I also checked DSO where this key figure has been updated with the update time.
But In cube it is showing with both updated time and last time
e.g Update time is 3 PM while original time was 7 pm
In the report it is picking 7 PM while it should pick 3 PM. It should cancel out 7 PM.
Key figure aggregate properties is set up Maximum.
Below time should be 3 PM as it is changed in data source.

Inventory at header level for a BOM in BW

RSR_VARIABLE_F4_RESTRICT_BADI with BO 3.1
Hi,
Has anybody any experience using BADI RSR_VARIABLE_F4_RESTRICT_BADI with Business Objects 3.1 SP12.
I have found a number of posts from 2012 that say it is not support but I am unsure if this is still the case?
I am running my BW query in RSRT and it restricts correctly but in WEBI it just returns the same list of values from the infoprovider and they do not dynamically change as I expected. As I said I am finding this may be a restriction with BO 3.1 and we do not have an opportunity to use BO 4.0.
If it is a restriction is there a workaround?

Issue for currency exchange for curr types JPY,IDR and data will be moving to other SAP system(APO).
Hello All,
During validation of data between APO and BW its required for the manual intervention by multiplying leading 0’s(multipl with 100) to the key figure values.
So it is required to change the following key figures in the BW datasource to the external format.
data flow: (I.C-1 to I.C2)BW to I.C-APO
This is so that the small TCs like JPY, IDR, etc. are in the correct format when we extract it in APO.
Could you please suggest how should we solve this issue

免 Chaines Char not accepted in QA system, working fine in Dev and PROD
Hi Experts,
I am stuck withchines char e.g. 免
BW QA is not accepting it, I can see the PSA data 免 converted to #, where as same records show proper 免 in BW DEV and PROD.
I checked the data in source system (RSA3) properly showing 免.
I rechecked the SM59 RFC setting in QA and compare with DEV.
All system are unicode supported.
Please help to resolve.

Long Runtimes and short dump while posting data from PSA to ODS
Hi,
I am trying to pust 400000 records from PSA to ODS and after running for 3 to 4 hrs it is failing. When we check the short dump it says.
Information on where terminated
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "CL_RSSM_STATMAN_TARGET_ODSO===CP" -
in "IF_RSBK_DATAPACKAGE_OBSERVER~UPDATE_STATUS_TABLES".
The main program was "RSBATCH_EXECUTE_PROZESS ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 104
of the (Include) program "CL_RSSM_STATMAN_TARGET_ODSO===CM007".
The program "CL_RSSM_STATMAN_TARGET_ODSO===CP" was started as a background job.
Job Name....... "BIDTPR_329350_1"
Job Initiator.. "XXXXSSBI"
Job Number..... 14215700
We tried several times still it is failing. When I check the process I see that it is taking long time on RSBKDATA_V table access. We are on SAP BW7.0 Support pack 23.

Data Source Transport error
Hi All,
I get a transport error when i am transporting 3.x emulated data sources from Development to stage. This is a datasource created on BO Data services as a source system.
Error:
DataSource xxxxx does not exist in source system yyyy of version A
Mapping between data source xxxxx and source system xxxxx is inconsistent ....
However , When i collect only 3.x datasource, it collects the replica only. I dont see any issue with transporting. But the table RSOLTPSOURCE etc does not have this entry in the stage system too . I am not sure what may cause this issue. The source system check is good and RSLOGSYS map table is good. Request you folks to help me on this, if you would have faced a similar issue.

CONVERSION_EXIT_WBSEL_OUTPUT
Hi All,
I am using CONVERSION_EXIT_WBSEL_OUTPUT function module in transformation (in WBS field mapping from source to target as routine rule type) while loading from DSO to OPENHUB to split WBS element with '-'.
For eg : P3453OPBj to P-3453-OP-BJ.
But some values are not splitting in OPenHub.
I tested the function module in SE37 with some WBS elements its not splitting the values.
Can i know the reason? Are there any limitations in this function module?

ADK Vs NLS for BW Archiving
Hi,
We are planning for archiving our BW system and I have read about NLS for BW system. Please can someone help me with the difference between ADK file archive Vs NLS.
I have also read some blogs which says ADK file archive can't be used for reporting and we have to reload the data if reporting is required on those data.
Is there any SAP recommendation or Notes for NLS over ADK.

NearLine storage for BI 7.01
Dear SAP Gurus
I am BI consultant and have a query regarding implementing NLS solution for our BI system ( Netweaver 7.0 ehp1 sps7 ) , our database runs on DB2 9.7 Fixpack 7 and Operating system is AIX 6.1 . Our basis team is helping us on this and has told us thet DB2 NLS can be implemented for the solution but not sure on whether any new hardware or licensing cost is involved .
Basis team has forwarded us the notes 1405664 - DB6: Near-Line Storage Impl. (Supplementary Note) and an installation document from the service market place . we dont have any NLS experts here and have the following queries which our Basis team is rather not Sure
1 ) Whether NLS can be implemented with no additional support from IBM .
2 ) Whether any special hardware or other IBM services are required for implementing the same. We are using POWER HA servers ( AIX 6.1 version )
3 ) All our SAP servers are running under DB6 LUW 9.7 version , is it just that we install a new server with 9.7 and do the post configuration as described in the installation document
4) Is there any specific SAP partners for implementing near line storage?

master data value 0 can be created?

Extracting material classification Using Generic datasource FM
Hello Everyone,
I would need your help in a project that i am working on.... I am working on material classification that would have both single and multiple values,most of values are open and can be added at anytime that means we would need delta because we are always going to get changes .... My work around would be to create a generic datasource using extraction function module instead of using the traditional CTBW because one because of delta and multiple values...I have researched and i see a lot of people said they used Function module but now my question is how did they make they characteristics names that was supposed to be extended in the generated datasource as a field in there generic datasource? How was the field coded in there function module ? Can anybody send me steps on how you used Generic datasource extraction function module to include characteristics names as field and how you combined that with RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE,BAPI_OBJCL_GETDETAIL BAPI_OBJCL_CHANGE and also how you got multiples values in BW? I have gone through SAML Response from SAP ID Service and http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/20b9ffa4-d2da-2e10-6da1-96d32363a82e?QuickLink=index&… and many more please someone that has worked on this before should kindly send me there work around... SRM BI - Datasource 0BBP_TD_SC_1 is extracting duplicate records
Hi Team,
We have activated SRM BI content and now extracting shopping cart data from datasource 0BBP_TD_SC_1.
What we see, if a shopping cart has 1 item then it is extracting 3 records for that shopping cart. Ideally, it should extract one header record and one item record.
The 3rd which it is extracting looks empty and redundant. Very few fields are filled in this.
Could you please let us know if this is a bug or if any correction notes are there to resolve this issue. I checked most of the SAP notes related to shopping cart datasource. But, nothing helps..
Second record in the screenshot has only 2 fields filled. Rest of the fields are empy :-

DSO Activation
Hi Friends,
We have loaded data to a DSO and it is taking lot of time for data activation.
Please note
- SID set as ‘During Activation’as DSO is used for reporting. So, we need to use this setting.
- We are loading the data for the first time in production.
Please let me know how we can improve the performance of DSO activation having the above setting.

Change Log deletion Variant not working in process chain
Hi Friends,
We have been experiencing problems in deleting change log data for few targets in production system. The change log data is not getting deleted from the Change logs for respective targets via standard process available for Process chains.
Has any one experienced this before & if yes then what's the solution?
Some important points:
We recently upgraded from SAP BW 7.0 to SAP BW 7.1. Immediately after upgrade change log deletions via standard variant worked fine for a months time but after that the change log requests are not getting deleted for some reason.
While searching online i came across a wiki blog which pointed out certain steps which are already applied to our system.
