In our system exchange rates are maintined from all the currencies to USD, but non USD to non USD is not maintained. For example EUR to USD is maintained, but not EUR to GBP. In ECC reports , EUR to GBP conversion is happening, first by converting EUR to USD and then USD to GBP.
Can you let me know how do i do this in BW at runtime.

I'm trying to test the BW report Bookmark Id in different systems
I ran few reports on portal and save it as bookmark, I have transported these bookmark id's from (RSZWBOOKMARK table) source to target system.
In the target portal I'm adding the bookmark id (length 25 char) to the portal link but report is not running. In the target system when i ran the report in regular way by giving inputs in varaible screen, report is being populated with data.

Did any one tried to achive this? Any suggestions.

We are in the process of upgrading from 7.0 to 7.3 using the parallel approach via system copy.
As of now, DB2 system was copied and restored as DB7 system. Now were trying to connect DB7 to ECC like DB2 is. However, every time we connect either, it disconnects the other. It seems that they share the same unique connection criteria in ECC so it can only exist once.
How does one connect both BW 7.3 systems to the same ECC source system after a system copy?
Is there a T-code to use, or SAPNote which specifically explains this? We've read a dozen SAPnotes but none clearly explain this step.

Hi,
We have enhanced LO datasource with 3 new fields and transported into ECC-production system.
We have replicated datasource into BI and created mapping. But after transported into Production, the records are not getting posted from LBWQ to RSA7. We are using Qued delta method & we have shcdulled the job at LBWE. The job scheduled getting failed at LBWE. We have huge number of records in LBWQ and it is keep increasing by hour to hour. Please suggest how to move all these records from LBWQ to RSA7

Hi - we are in the middle of migrating our queries from 3x to 7x. I had a user request variants for a specific query be migrated. I followed this document to do the migration: http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/BI/Migration+of+BEx+Analyzer+3x+to+BEx+Analyzer+7x. I ran program RSR_VARIANT_XPRA first for the specific query. I then ran program RSR_MIGRATE_VARIANTS with the Migrate All Variants for Query option selected and entered the query name. I get Error:Variant not found.
I looked in these 3 tables: RSRVARIANT, RSRVARIANTDIR, RSRVARIANTTXT...and the query/variants are not in any of them. It's my understanding that program RSR_VARIANT_XPRA should move the variants into the tables.
When I open the query in analyzer, in 3x and 7x, the variants are gone.
Can anyone tell me what happened to my variants? It seems as if they have been deleted.

We have upgrated our system from SAP BW 7.02 to SAP BW 7.31.
Now we have some problems with Integrated Planning.
The error is: Jco execption thrown while executing function ¨BICS_PROV_SUBMIT_VARIABLES" against SAP BW.
Also the is a dump in ST22.

I am trying to load 0ACCOUNT hierarchy master data from ECC to BW, using standard data sources. The process is in place in Production and was running fine until couple of days back. All of a sudden, the daily master data load doesn't bring in new accounts added to hierarchy in ECC.
The user responsible for adding and updating new accounts to hierarchy has checked on the ECC, and I have seen the ECC screen. The new accounts are correctly placed in correct hierarchy on ECC side.
I have checked and tried couple of things. The Attr and Text are coming through fine, only hierarchy is not getting updated on BW side. I tried to replicate Metadata for the data source on BW side, I have manually run the DTPs, but still no success.
I will really appreciate your help on this.

I need to transposing row into columns, means 1row into 20 column i created generic data source and WO DSO and map the field. for Key Figure i'm using the formula IF( /BIC/ZATNAM = 'Z_COB', /BIC/ZATF, 0 ).
formula works fine but transformation creates multiple records instead of 1 records.
Please help me to fix this problem.

we have a requirement for some reports in Business Warehouse (NetWeaver 7.3) regarding the currency conversion type. In the Report a rolling forecast (always starting with the actual period) with one key figure (e.g. Price) shall be analyzed. The issue is the following: The actual period should use Translation Type A, the following periods, till end of Fiscal Year, Translation Type B and the rest Translation type C.
Example Structure:

Now, is it possible somehow to determine in one key figure the Translation type dynamicaly using the Option "Ex. rate type from variable" in the rscur Transaction.
Our main issue here would be the connection between the time reference and the Translation type.

Since we upgraded from BW 3.5 to BW 7.3, I see that the Cache Modes available from the RSRT Query Properties drop down have changed. Now I only see:
0 Cache is Inactive
1 Main Memory Cache Without Swapping
5 Blob/Cluster Added
In the past, we most commonly chose 4 Persistent Cache across Each Application Server because we have multiple application servers.
Is there still a relevant selection/recommendation for systems having multiple application servers?

I am facing a problem that i am having a multiprovider union of two info cube.One of the cube holding values for the Info object(VENDOR) and another cube don't have any values anyhow but in my reporting level for that particular vendor column when executing the query it is not displaying data there in the one cube.Since multiprovider wont holds value but i checked in my multiprovider level(display data) in that also its not having values for that particular info object but the residing two cubes one of the cube is having data so when i am executing the query it should display the data for that infoobject right.

I am a beginner to SAP BI/BW and my goal is to document existing process chains from BW system. And I was wondering if there is a way to add a document/file and/or a String text to a variant/node in a given process chain, since I want to describe the function of certain important variants in more detail.
The closest thing I was able to find is the Process Chain -> Attributes -> Document section. But I don't think I can attach it to a particular node in the actual chain, but only for the chain as a whole. Any idea's/suggestions are appreciated!

Basis team oe end users uplaod some files into a server manually.I will create an abap program to upload csv files into al11 server.
I would like to launch a BW process chain automatically each time a new file version is uploaded to the al11 server.
I thought about creating an event to manage my case. But how can I know that a new file version was uploaded.
I mean do I have to create a program which reads the date/Hour modification regularly (each hour/day)?
Are they any better options?

I have activated and replicated all the 2lis_11* and 2lis_13* DataSources. When I am trying to install Business Content, I am facing the following issue. A brief of the issue is given below:
ERROR: Attribute 0BPARTNER from characteristic 0VENDOR not (actively) available
Transfer rules are set to inactive because of these errors.
Made appropriate settings only i.e., collected all the necessary objects .To resolve the issue ,I tried doing the following 2 steps:
1)Tried to install 0vendor and collected all the required objects(I have collected 0BPARTNER as well). But, the installation is ending with the same error and 0vendor is set to inactive mode.
2)Tried to install only 0BPARTNER separately. But ,the issue is not solved.
The above mentioned error is not the only error the system is throwing. In general all the errors are of type : u201CAttribute X from characteristic Y not (actively) availableu201D, where X,Y are different InfoObjects.
Is the issue due to the Business Content version?Because,I never faced this issue in BI 7.0 system.
The details of the system which I am currently using are given below:
SAP_BW 730 0000 - SAP Business Warehouse
BI_CONT 735 0000 - Business Intelligence Content
This is a new SAP system.Just started with content installation.
Do I have to apply any service-pack to overcome this issue?If yes,please let me know the service-pack number.

Hi All,
I am loading the transaction data from ECC to BI. While loading the data,it takes more time. I have checked in SM12 and found some lock entries there.
Currently some jobs are running in SM37 and same entry is available in SM12 also.
What will happen if we delete the active lock jobs from SM12 Tcode ? Will the data load will stop ? As this error is happening in Production, I need to identify what will happen after deleting.
Can you please suggest, how to rectify this and how to improve the data load time after locking.
