Not all filter values are listed in Bex Web

Hello Folks!

 

I hope that you can help me with my problem.

Situation: I have a query with a filter. The filter “XYZ” includes the variable “ABC”.  The variable “ABC” includes 5 default values.

Problem: When I start the query in Bex Analyzer I can see all possible values for the filter “XYZ”.

But when the query starts in Bex Web I see only the 5 defined default filter-“XYZ”-values.

It is possible to search for all values with double “*”.

I would like to have all values in the list without using the function “Search”. Is there anything which I am missing here?

New Plant In Inventory

Hi

 

Inventory flow is active in our BW system and all delta loads are running fine.

Now business is adding new plants in R/3 side.

 

What steps are required to set-up data load for this new plant. Any documents will help.

Inconsistency in delta administration 7.4 BW on Hana

Good day

They have recently copied the existing BW system and created a system that was upgraded to BW 7.4, SP12. The new system had the same name as the current system. The new system was later migrated to Hana db and a new system name was created. I am now busy testing this system and I am experiencing issues with delta administration for BI statistics 0tct*.

I have read all the threads and three notes 873694, 873401 and 852443 and I have also executed the RSSM_OLTP_INIT_DELTA_UPDATE program, to no success.

The issue is: I cannot open the InfoPackage for the specific datasource '' or any of the other BI Stats datasources.

Table RSSDLINIT, ROOSPRSMC, ROOSPRSMF and RSSDLINITSEL all have entries for the datasource and has the same RNR id. I've deleted the entry in the RSSDLINIT table and when I try to open the InfoPackage it will just re-create the entry in the table again.

What can I do to solve the issue and access the InfoPackage to be able to delete the init and start delta extracts again?

Failed to retrieve the cube for connection

Hi,

We have upgraded our BW system to 7.4 on HANA. We currenlty facing an issue with Webi. When I execute a Bex query in Webi, I get the message 'Failed to retrieve the cube for connection'. Also on the BW side a short dump is triggerd: CALL_FUNCTION_ILLEGAL_P_TYPE.

In the short dump there is a link to OSS note 611004, but this does not make any sense to me.

When I test the connection in the Information Design Tool, everything is fine.

 

We are currently on BO version 4.1 SP4 and BW 7.4 SP10.

 

Does someone experience the same issue?

Data not aggregated when loading from MultiProvider

Dear experts,

 

 

I am facing the following situation:

 

 

Scenario A.

When loading data from InfoProvider X to target InfoProvider Y, it only picks up a few thousands of records.

 

Scenario B.

When loading the same data (of InfoProvider X) via a MultiProvider to the same target InfoProvider Y, it picks up millions of records.

 

 

The results of scenario A and B are precisely the same. Only difference is: that scenario B takes far more time to load.

 

Please note the DTP selections are precisely the same. Only difference is: that in scenario B I've added an extra filter on the InfoProvider field. To make sure only data from InfoProvider X is being picked up.

 

 

 

Which settings do I need to adjust in scenario B to force the data to be aggregated to only the few thousand needed records?

SAP ECC Revenue Accounting and Reporting data extraction to BW

Hi All,

 

We are planning to implement Revenue Accounting and Reporting Module(1.0 SP01)    in SAP ECC.     

 

Our users are requesting reporting out of BW. There are standard datasources available (e.g. 0FARR_RA_10)

 

Would like to know if anyone has ideas on data extraction to BW for Rev. Accounting & Reporting module. Can we have continuous data extracts from ECC to BW (every 2 to 3 hours)?

 

Any suggestions?

Is rebuilding the BWA index required, if cube has a new field added?

Hello Experts,

 

We have a scenario where we are adding a new field to the existing infocube running in the production system. The cube has an aggregate and is on BWA . After moving the transports to production, is it required to delete and rebuilt the BWA index? Below is the sequence we are planning to perform after changes are moved to production:

 

1. Delete cubes' DB index.

2. Run DTP to load the cube.

3. Create DB index.

4. Do roll up of the request.

5. Delete BWA index.

6. Rebuild BWA index --> Is this mandatory step mandatory? Will the data in the new field be visible in the reports?

Syntax error while activating update rule of IO 0GN_VENDOR

Hello Gurus,

 

We have just upgraded our BW system from 7.0 to 7.4 with SP12. After the upgrade, I'm not able to load the data to IO 0GN_VENDOR as update rule throws a syntax error "RSGN_GLOB_ID must be a flat structure. you cannot use internal tables, strings, references or structures as components".

 

I know that this error is showing up because inside all field routines following include programs viz. rsbctgn_top, rsbctgn_update_rules and rsbctgn_update_rules_special are called and all these programs have same syntax error as SAP has changed the component LOCALID of structure RSGN_GLOB_ID from char 60 to sstring 1333.

Now, the issue is I'm not able to find a suitable SAP note to correct this error.

 

I found the note: 1847030 - Checkman error reported in BI_CONT 747but system prompts that it cannot be implemented.

I also went through a note: 1853775 - Errors when using BI Content 7.47 SP04 on SAP BW 7.40 SP02but did not find anything useful.

 

Current BW system details -

 

SAP_BASIS      740          0012
SAP_ABA         740          0012

PI_BASIS         740          0012
ST-PI                740          0002
SAP_BW          740          0012
BI_CONT         746          0000

P.S. Though the program RSBCTSRM_GROUP_LINKED_SUPPLIER is not a part of update rule/routine, throws the same error while syntax check as it also contains the same structure RSGN_GLOB_ID in declaration.

Records deleted in SAP ECC but still showing in SAP BW for master data object.

Hello Experts ,

 

 

Issue : We have master data info Object - Customer Partner Fucntion ( from KNVP Table). It is loading from KNVP table in BW.

           Currently, There are some records which are deleted from Source System but still present in BW as it is already loaded in BW. For this reason,              the report is showing discrepancy.

.

           As this is Master data object, we cannot delete the records since, it might be used in other cubes. Our reports is on the Customer Partner                     function Info Object.  

 

           When we are running the report, there are 2 partners function records are coming in the reports for the same customer. But in ECC, the previous              record is already deleted.

 

           Is there any way, by which i can handle this situation. We dont have any deletion Flag in ECC for the table.

   

Please suggest and share your ideas,

rsa7 - a lot of entries

Hi, I have been contacted by basis that we have enormous numbers of entries in rsa7:

0BP_BANK_ATTR    IWP800    423.746

0BPARTNER_ATTR    IWP800    187.017

 

Even delta is schedulled on daily basis

 

I have done successfull delta 2 times :

0BP_BANK_ATTR  830 and 2 entries

0BPARTNER_ATTR 840 and 1 entries

 

This should clear the RSA7 as it is recomanded way how to clar the queue prior upgrade etc.

 

But I still have

0BP_BANK_ATTR    IWP800    423.749

0BPARTNER_ATTR    IWP800    187.020

 

Any idea why?

Hi,

 

We are trying to delete a confirmation in SRM through a custom program which just updates CRM_JEST table with status a deleted.

The confirmations which are deleted by this program are not updated in RSA7. Could you please explain how to get this deleted confirmations in delta queue what else need to be updated.

Full repair pre and post activities

Hello Mates,

 

Delta got corrupted for one load and delta pointer has been deleted.

 

One of our team member ran Delta initialization with out data transfer to set delta pointer and ran delta update.

 

This caused data loss and now I am running full repair it will take some time.

 

After the full repair do I need to set the delta pointer again by deleting the existing one to take delta update further ? or previous delta pointes set by my colleague will take delta update ?

 

Further it's loading to Std DSO and I think I can load data directly with out deleting any target as it has overwriting capability.

 

In other scenario - if I am loading the data to Cube then I have to delete the entire data if the it has only one source .

 

                              If cube has multiple data sources how can we load full repair data ?

 

Please advice me.

How to find the right Standard DataSource for your project?

Hello everyone ..

 

I am totally new in SAP BW. I have 0 background in this field .

 

So, as i am learning from my trainer and watching video tutorials, i have been told that whenever the ECC/R3 teams give you some tables to create reports on theme, you might need to search in "Google" or "help.sap" to find the right Standard DataSrource.

 

My question:

Is this the right way to do it? I mean are "Google" and "help.sap" the only options?

If so, what are the most proper ways to use these two solutions?

2LIS_11_VASCL delta currupted

Dear All,

 

Recently BI and ECC production systems undergone Linux patching at the same time and after Linux patching delta load from 2LIS_11_VASCL failed since previous delta request still running (I was quite not sure which chain has triggered the previous load), when I check the load form process monitor load current running load was stuck with the below mentioned message. Surprisingly I never found job for this load neither in BI nor in ECC. So I had to cancel this load as this was stalling important further processes.

 

I have changed the technical status to red and while changing technical status itself system warned me that "Delta repeat" option would never be available further if change the status to "RED"(I hope this is not good practice). Still I went ahead and changed status as I mentioned it staled important processes.

Later I ran the info package as expected "Repeat delta" didn't come, load was delta update and it bought around 500+ records. I suspect definitely there is data loss. I need to perform full repair and prior to that I need to confirm client that how may records are missing exactly and it's impact, as full repair takes lot's of time for 2LIS_11_VASCL.

I would appreciate if you help me with the below points.

 

1. Is there any other option to cancel the job other than changing technical status to red in this type of situation ?

2. Now I would like to compare how many records are missing, against which table I need to compare and what selections I need to make?

 

Note: Using BI 7.0 System

Why the extraction will be excuted serveral times when I create datasource by Funcion Module

Hi Guys

I created a datasource by using function module.

But there is something coufused me.

When I use infopackage to load the data from ecc to bw

There will be serveral data packages which contains same data.

Actually, It should be one data package contain all data. But now I have serveral duplicate.

 

Below is the code.

I combined MBEW MCHA By materail(MATNR),Plant(BWKEY)and BWTAR.

Actually, I don't need the rsa3 to test (I don't know how to avoid this part in the code,but have to write something I don't think necessary).So I used "Refresh E_T_DATA" in the code.

SPO Dynamic Partition using by BAdi

Hi Experts ,

 

i want to create badi for my IC SPO which has 3 partitions.

when i run t-code RSLPO_MASS_ACT, it should fulfill the partitions as below:

 

at first run ; partition1 should have 2013, partition2 : 2014 and Partition3:2015 data.

at second run; partition1 should have 2016  ,

at third run ,Partition2 should have 2017 data.

 

i guess on the GET_T_PART_CRIT method correnponding code has to be written.

 

can anyone help me on that code ?

BI content transformation for Asset accounting

We are using 0FIAA_11 DSO for asset accounting. This flow is available in 3.5 version currently, now we want to migrate this flow in 7.3 version.

 

Please help me if BI content transformation available for 0FI_AA_11 flow or we need to migrate transfer rule and update rule in transformation using RSMIGRATE.

 

Helpful answer will be awarded.

Error in DTP loading Product Hierarchy

Hi experts,

i did the replication of 0PROD_HIER_LPRH_HIER ds in SAP BW, and created infopackage that generated the hierarchies correctly from SAP R3.

 

The problem now is that I created a Z-infoobject (similar to 0PROD_HIER) and then created 4 other Z-infoobjects (similiar to 0PRODH1,0PRODH2,0PRODH3,0PRODH4) and assigned them as external characteristics to my Z infoobjects (similar to 0PROD_HIER).

 

Meanwhile, I haven't installed 0PRODH1, 0PRODH2, 0PRODH3, 0PRODH4 from business content because im working on the test version and maybe other users might need to use them. Should I maybe install them? If I do, can they be reused later for different hierarchies by other users on the system?

 

After I did the transformations, I believe there is a problem with it and that is why my dtp doesn't work, which i am not able to figure it out. Please see the screenshot below. Could you please confirm if my transformation is right?
