I have a requirement where i want to extract data from ECC6 EHP6-7 (preferably using function modules using RFCs or Bapies) and want to load that into our 7.4 BW system using Informatica PowerCenter software. I am sure somebody might have used this scenario already so posing this question. Didn't had much luck while searching on this topic .. any reply would be helpful.

i have loaded the Data in Datasource 0COSTCENTER_ATTR to Info Object 0COSTCENTER in BW. The Data in Datasource 0COSTCENTER_ATTR are: Company Code, Profit Centre, Person Resonsible...
Info Object 0COSTCENTER belongs to Info Cube 0CCA_C20, which was successfully loaded in to BW.
But in Bex Report based on Info Cube 0CCA_C20 , the attributes Company Code, Profit Centre, Person Resonsible.. are not shown.
So i don't know if i do some thing wrong with the Datasource?

I want to know the outputs and the values in each DSO and in each table.
For eg:
Billing Document Number Item Number

If this is my key field combination what is the output in all the three DSO's ? and also if i remove Item number from Key field what will be the output

We have a problem with the publication of a 3.x WAD report via our pre-cal / broadcast service but this no longer works (it does work for v7 workbooks).
When we try to load the 3.x WAD report, we get the message:
(You are logged on to an application sever that does not support HTTP. Some of the web application Designer functions are therefore not available. Do you want to log on to a different application server?)
We have check the status of the services and HTTP and SMTP are both active but HTTPS is not active.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be wrong here or how we can fix ?
We have recently upgraded our service packs to 7.3 SP 14

Hi,
I'm looking at at SAP Note 1737143 because we face symptom no. two mentioned in the note. Therefore I would like to repair it in RSRV as suggested in the note, but I cannot find the right place in RSRV... (yes, I know it sounds silly... :-/ )
I get the error '0REQUID is not a characteristic but an InfoObject of type DPA' if I try to use the functions for characteristics...
The system is on level SAPKW74005.
Any suggestions on how to do what is suggested in the note?

We have just upgraded our BW system from 7.0 to 7.4 with SP12. After the upgrade, I'm not able to load the data to IO 0GN_VENDOR as update rule throws a syntax error "RSGN_GLOB_ID must be a flat structure. you cannot use internal tables, strings, references or structures as components".
I know that this error is showing up because inside all field routines following include programs viz. rsbctgn_top, rsbctgn_update_rules and rsbctgn_update_rules_special are called and all these programs have same syntax error as SAP has changed the component LOCALID of structure RSGN_GLOB_ID from char 60 to sstring 1333.
Now, the issue is I'm not able to find a suitable SAP note to correct this error.
I found the note: 1847030 - Checkman error reported in BI_CONT 747but system prompts that it cannot be implemented.
I also went through a note: 1853775 - Errors when using BI Content 7.47 SP04 on SAP BW 7.40 SP02but did not find anything useful.

P.S. Though the program RSBCTSRM_GROUP_LINKED_SUPPLIER is not a part of update rule/routine, throws the same error while syntax check as it also contains the same structure RSGN_GLOB_ID in declaration.

Hi al,
1. I've multiple function heads accessing different reports that have 0AMOUNT in common. My client has created multiple Calculated and Restricted Key Figures based on 0AMOUNT.
2. I want to know how I can restrict different reports like Actual Rev, Actual Cost, Planned Rev, Actual Cost, Budgeted Rev, and so on based on the same Key Figure or Restricted Key Figure. All these are either restricted or calculated key figures created on 0AMOUNT. Users are different for each of these reports.
3. What I have done is created 3 different Analysis Auth 1 each for Actual Rev, Planned Rev and Budgeted Rev and restricted 0TCAKYFNM with 0AMOUNT. 0TCAIPROV is restricted with the same cube for all the 3 analysis auths.
4. Then I've created 3 different roles and restricted them with the respective analysis auth I created above.
5. But in the output of the report all my users see the same data as they have access to the same Key figure even though their analysis auth is dfferent which is quite obvious.
Can you please let me know what can I do differently so that I can restrict the users as per the data that they are supposed to see. Users for Actual Rev should see only Actual Rev data and so on.

This is my first post on SCN forum. I am fairly new to BW and hence this might be a very basic question.
We are presently on SAP BW 7.0 and we're planning an upgrade to 7.4. However, our FI data extraction (FIAR FIAP) from ECC to BW is on daily basis.
I have checked the BWOM2_TIMEST table where I can see that the time stamps are such that data extracted for instance on 3rd Feb fetches data for 01.02.2016 - 18:30:00 to 02.02.2016 - 18:29:59 and in the BWOM_SETTINGS table as well the parameters are set in a way that only data for last 24 hrs is fetched post 0200 hrs. (minute based extraction is off).
So coming to the question - If we go into the upgrade - Please suggest :
i) would we have to wait until after 0200 hrs to fetch this data and then take the system down or
ii) if we do not pull data to BW and take a downtime. Would there be any data loss? since FI works on timestamp..
I have read on the forums but there are different views on this topic hence if folks who have worked on an upgrade can please help me with this.. That would be splendid!

I found some contradictory information about currency translation to DSO, therefore, I have to ask:
In BW 7.4, can I use translation types in transformation rules for a DSO? An older SAP documentation says that this is not possible for DSOs, however, this note was removed in newer BW releases so I assume that this is now possible. But how?

This morning I posted a question about Arithmetical error while extracting data from R3 to BW using 2LIS_13_VDKON Datasource. I serached on net and found a very useful link and applied it.
PSA Error in 2LIS_13_VDKON-Arithmetical errors or conversion errors found in routine routine 001
However, now data comes to PSA but takes forever to get updated into the Target.
Just to rule out if the solution I put in to address the previous issue, I removed the formula of Condition Rate and then I could successfully loaded the data in the target.
Can anyone please help and suggest something for this scenario?

I have one delta data load happens from dso to open hub daily. And on one day i see 4 records didn't move to open hub file where as those records are present in dso on that day for that days request.
I checked the following
1. no start and end end routines for the transformation and not even field level routines
2. no filters at dtp level
I tried to debug the transformatoin by applying breakpoint at standard code for this transformation but it is not stopping at that place..
Any other way to debug or find out hte solution??

my Department want to have a report of Actual and plan cost for Cost element. They use transaction S_ALR_87012284 and they show me the Financial Report with Cost Element Hierarchy on ERP R3 like this Picture ( they are interested only on Cost) :
The Report they want looks some thing like the Picture "report" in the attached file.
Futher more they want to have column "actual cost and plan cost" for each month, and for the Cost Element Hierarchy they want to add Invoice information into Hierarchy or some thing like a Link to List of invoice which are entered in a cost element.
i have searched the Table on ERP for the Report. The Table is SYULINE, and then i try to search the Data source for this Table on SCN but i can't find it. so i would like ask you:
1. Which datasource can we use for this Financial Report?
2. How to create the Cost Element Hierarchy on Bex? i mean is there any special Datasource for the Hierarchy. i haven't created such Hierarchy before
3. as you can see in the Report in R3, there are no Column "actual and plan Cost". so From which table/ datasource can i find this Information?
4. Regarding the Detail level of the Hierarchy for Invoice. How can we extern the Hierarchy with Invoice information?

we have flaw in BW system comprised with 3 DSO. Structure is like:
Data is going from 1 DSO to upper DSO via end routine. Now in end routine,one lookup DSO is there.
Now issue is that Generally (90 % of time) data is getting populated from both DSO(Lower & Lookup) to upper DSO correctly but lately some discrepancies are coming between Upper DSO and Look up DSO. I mean in Look up DSO data is correct but it is not updating to upper DSO properly. But again when I'm doing full load for those discrepancies from lower to upper DSO through look up DSO (I mean normal DTP but with full load ), this time data will be getting loaded correctly.
So my query is what could be reason behind Flaw's this abnormal behavior? please let me know if you need further clarification.

Basically I'm looking for possible reasons for abnormal data load behavior from Data Sourse to DSO via this post.
Design is like: Data coming from ECC via 2LIS_17_I0NOTIF DS as a delta upadte and that data is getting loaded to DSO via DTP.
Now there is one record which is present in PSA but I'm not able to fetch it to upper DSO by running DTP. Only this particular record. Rest of records are working fine.
I've already examined:
1. no filters in DTP
2. tried full dtp for that record
3. Start routine and filed routines are not relevant.
What could be other reason for this kind of rare situation ? is it something because data source?

I have a requirement where I need to write a routine in Update rules. Its 3.5 data flow. I don't have SOURCE_PACKAGE and RESULT_PACKAGE structure available.
I looked around and whatever examples I found were only 'Deleting' the entries from DATA_PACKAGE. My requirement is based on Two source Structure column, I have to pass results in Target structure column. This is to address 'an arithmetic error' in 2LIS_13_VDKON. I created another thread but there was no new answers hence creating new one and closed that one.
One of the answers which I got in my previous thread, suggested me to write a routine and I tried. (see below). But my question is how would I refer to Target Structure column in Update rules because DATA_PACKAGE is source structure.
DATA: WA_DATA_PACKAGE LIKE DATA_PACKAGE,
* ZCRATE LIKE SY-TABIX.
