Load Product Hierarchy from SAP R3 to SAP BI

Hi Experts,

I have searched a while around in this forum but couldn't find the right answer to my problem. As I am new to SAP BI, I also apologize if my questions don't make sense.

 

I created the standard ds in R3 for 0PROD_HIER_LPHR_HIER(to load hierarchies) and 0PROD_HIER_TEXT(to load texts).However, i want to make sure that i will not touch any of the customer infoobjects as I am working with z-infoobjects only. Now I have several questions to make sure that im going in the right way.

 

1. To generate the product hierarchies with their respective text, should I replicate both 0PROD_HIER_LPHR_HIER and 0PROD_HIER_TEXT datasources?

 

2. Can I install + match (x) copy the 0PROD_HIER, 0PRODH1,0PRODH2, 0PRODH3 and 0PRODH4 and then create 4 Z-infoobjects with a template to this 0PROD_HIER, 0PRODH1,0PRODH2, 0PRODH3 and 0PRODH4? By doing so, will it affect the current customer infoobjects at any way (replacing the standard 0PROD_HIER content with the new copied Z0PROD_HIER content?)  I don't want to change anything in the standard infoobjects (0PROD_HIER, 0PRODH1...), that's why i want to create template Z-infoobjects.

 

3. If this is not the right way of doing it, could you please suggest me a way to do the loading of Product Hierarchies and their Texts for the ds 0PROD_HIER_LPHR_HIER + 0PROD_HIER_TEXT, without touching or affecting any of the current standard InfoObjects Contents (0PROD_HIER, 0PRODH1.. etc.)? Please .pdf versions at best.

Help needed for Demand Planning Cube of APO

Hi All,

 

I have some experience in SAP BW, however I am totally new to APO. I have a requirement to "Deliver the dataflow from OTC data models for Billing and Sales history for Demand Planning cube in APO".


Can you please give me step by step approach in how to go about this particular requirement with OTC and APO. Or redirect me to a step by step document which cover this functional area. Need help urgently, thanks a lot.

Please register in the Online Service System (OSS) - BI

Hi all,

 

I'm not sure if this is the correct place, anyway, I have the following issue:

 

I'm trying to activate an standard DataSource from BW system and I got the following messagge:

"You are not registered as a developer. Please register in the Online Service System (OSS). In the OSS you will receive an access key."

 

I know the existence of https://websmp205.sap-ag.de/sscr  , but I can't Register Object as BI system doesn't provide me with the information required, it means: Basis Release, Type...  Maybe because it's a BI object and not R3?

 

Do you know how can I request that password or how can I register in OSS?

DSO key date not working

Hi all,

 

When displaying the data of 0PA_DS04 which is employee education in BW, I specify a Key Date for time dependent characteristics but the records are shown ignoring the date I entered.

 

e.g

 

Employee X

 

From 19/3/2001  to 19/3/2005  - B.S.

From 6/7/2006 - 5/7/2008 - M.S.

 

WHen I enter 1/1/2006 , only the first record should be displayed but the two of them are being returned. So what's the use of this field

 

Would you help me please?

Best approach for line-item modification/extension of data

Still learning some basics...

I try to figure out the right tools and approach in SAP for my kind of task:

  • Key users per Company Code upload data via file interface (maybe we can also replace this step by other tools).
  • After merging the data, some additional fields should added on line-item level by one central user - e.g. some boolean flags for usage in further calculations.
  • ... calculate, move data to cube, and create a final report.

 

What would be the recommended implementation path for such a scenario? I first thought of using IP on a DSO for this, however, it doesn't seem to be the right tool for line-item modifications. Any idea?

Key date for employee in bex

Hi all,

 

I have created a multiprovider on Personnel actions infoset and Employee master data.

 

In BO tools , I need to filter from Action Day to Action day and I want the master data valid on each day in the range.

 

When I filter on action day in BW, everything works perfectly and the master data is shown for that day. but when in Bex and BO tools, this is not working.

 

This is really disappointing. Do you have any ideas on how to solve this issue?

 

For each action day , I want to know the master data valid on that day and my users are going to select a range.

Query getting executed based on userinput not customer exit variable

Hi all,

 

I need to get persian dates as user input and convert it to Greg date and execute the query ( I am doing HR in BW) based on this greg date.

 

I have created two variables:

 

Persian Date = User Input

Greg Date = Customer exit

 

 

Query is restricted on calendar day where the user enters persian date instead of greg date and CMOD project is executed which does the conversion perfectly fine.

 

 

I have also created a selection field on Headcount and restricted it to Greg Date customer exit variable.

 

But the problem is that since the entire query is restricted on calendar day variable , even though I am converting persian to greg, the query doesn't return anything.

 

I mean If I remove the query restriction on calendar day and hard code a greg date in CMOD project, I am getting correct result for the HeadCount restricted on this Greg Date variable but calendar day variable is getting in the way. I cannot remove it because I need to get the persian date from the user.

 

Would you help me please?  I don't want the query to be executed on calendar day variable . I just want it to get the user input and pass it to conversion code.

Table RSOSFIELDMAP

Hi everyone,

 

I have activated and replicate datasources 0CO_OM_CCA_40 and 0CO_OM_CCA_20 in BW, i created transformation between Datasources and data taget, now i go to table RSOSFIELDMAP to check the Mapping between field and infoobjects.

i display´all content of Table RSOSFIELDMAP.and try to find the mapping info objects and Fields for 0CO_OM_CCA_40 and 0CO_OM_CCA_20 in the table RSOSFIELDMAP. But these Information is not available in the Table.

Our BW System is new setup so i am wondering if the SAP Partner forget some thing to install in our system or not

Can anybody give me some Suggestion for this Problem?

Error adding 0TCTTIMSTMP to infocube

Hi,

 

I have a datasource with a date and a time withe the following format:

'20160201' and '092333'.

 

Reading about how to add a time field to an infocube I saw the info object 0TCTTIMSTMP but, when I insert this info object to the infocubre I can't do it.

 

Later I read it was possible to concatenate date and time and insert this string to 0TCTTIMSTMP.

Is it the correct way?

 

In my infocube, will I have date (0calday, 0fiscper, and so on) and the time?

Mapping between 0CO_OM_CCA_40 and 0CCA_D40

Hi every one,

 

i have created a transformation between 0CO_OM_CCA_40 and 0CCA_D40. the Mapping is automatic created by SAP.

But there is a Problem with the Table RSOSFIELDMAP in our system, i can't check if the Mapping is correct.

When i go to Rule Group: Choose technical group, do we need to map between UPDMODE (Recode mode) and 0RECORDMODE (BW Delta Process Update mode)?
Because i have seen some Video, the People map recode mode also

I got a  requirement like i need to create a seperate chain which it should run on monday and friday if it is daily means i can give period as daily and execute but my requirement is to run on this particular days i.e starting of week and ending of week please suggest me solution for this requirement.

RSPCM process chain status

Hi,

 

We did upgrade from BW 740 SP 11 to SP 12.

 

After that, RSPCM 'Delay' column is showing Icon 'Not scheduled' for event trigger based chains.

Earlier in SP 11 it used to show a grey icon 'Irregular execution'. We would like to have that feature.

 

Any suggestions please?

However, I also experienced the same problem as anirban mukhopadhyay..Did I miss some config?

Also, do I need to enter the codes below in the INCLUDE ZXRSRU01 of FUNCTION EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001? So I need to remove all existing codes in ZXRSRU01? Is that right?

I also noticed that I need to use the buttons enclosed in RED BOX below to edit the codes of INCLUDE ZXRSRU01..Is this a new feature or can I switch to OLD version where I can edit directly the codes? I also tried to edit the ZXRSRU01 in SE38 but still can't edit directly the codes..

SPO for DSO and Cube

Hi,

 

 

I have read many Docs regarding Semantic Partitions.

so i have knowledge whats happening in SPO.

 

 

But my doubt is earlier they have created semantic partition for DSO and Cube for fiscal year from 2008 to 2015.

Now i need to add from 2016 to 2019.Going to work in Production Directly.

 

 

So suggest whether i can add partition in the existing one

 

Kindly please help me with step by step process.

what to do ?After moving TRS in ecc quality some fields are missing.

Hi all,

1.I was having some TRS in ECC client (300) and some TRS in client (200).

so I merged client (300)TR with client (200) TR.

 

2) When I transported the  TRS to ECC QUALITY,which is showing me its successful,but some of the fields are not there.

 

3)When I am checking in ECC client 300 .....RSA6....2LIS_13_VDHDR(DATASOURCE),

then I can see REGION FIELD.

but in QUALITY ECC    .....RSA6....2LIS_13_VDHDR(DATASOURCE), REGION field and data both are not there.

please guide me what can I do next ,I am waiting.

No data while loading data for 0PUR_C01

Hi All,

 

We loaded the standard IC: 0PUR_C01, using the standard DS i,e; 2lis_02_itm and 2lis_02_scl.

What we found is that for Infoobject 0PO_QTY and 0GR_QTY we are getting zero values

For this cube, we used the std Query: 0PUR_C01_Q0017

At report, for open PO qty we are getting Zero's only.

 

Urgently Need help!!!!

Proces chain event issue

Hi guys,

 

I have a process chain launched by event in BW.

 

This process chain is working fine in development and production, but not in quality. All the environments are supposed to be equal.

 

I can't figure out why it's not working in quality. are they any system settings that i have to cjeck to see what is wrong in quality?
