Data loading from 0FIGL_V30 to 0FIGL_C30 ?

Hello Gurus,

 

I am working on 0FIGL_M30, where there is a virtual cube V30 and standard cube C30, and standard transformation and DTP is available between V30 and C30.  In the standard flow, i can see that function module extraction is happening for V30, and from V30 data is going to C30.  I activated everything and I can see values on V30 by giving DISPLY DATA.  Now my doubt is, how can I load data from V30 to C30? While I am triggering the DTP, one green request is coming in C30 with 0 records.  What should i do? Please suggest..

How to resolve when BW is working too slow?

Hi,

 

We often come across performance issue in SAP BW, which executes too slow if we run any transaction(example: RSA1).

If we check tcode: sm50, we'll find the following:

When ever BW is too slow, basically what we need to check and rectify?

Data source 0FI_GL_20 is failing in RSA3

Hi,

 

The data source 0FI_GL_20 is not  working in RSA3. Giving an error message'"Errors occurred during the extraction"  both in FULL and DELTA modes.This extraction is working perfectly in Dev system and giving an error in Q and P systems. I have gone through couple of blogs, reactivated the data source in Dev system and transported across landscape but no solution.

 

any ideas plz?

How to change sort order of attributes for info object in RSD1

Hi-

Does anyone know how to change the sort order of attributes in RSD1 for an info object? I am not trying to change the order for F4 but rather be able to sort all attributes (60 of them) in ascending / descending order. I thought I could at least drag them manually but am not able to. Any ideas would be appreciated

Delta data lost during Database restore

Hello,

 

Database got corrupted and they restored database using last backup. Say database corrupted on 14th they restored last backup taken on 6th. The data was missing from 7th to 14th. Delta was bringing records only from 15th. Now I need to load missing data from R/3(ECC 6.0) to BW from 7th to 14th. I tried with full data load  to DSO and delta from dso to cube, it didn't work. Last solution is to delete entire data in dso and cube and load it. Please help me.Thanks.

Rsecadmin Restrict 0Regions to Country Code US

Hi BW gurus,

 

I searched the forums for this answer but could not find, so please excuse if this is a repeated question

We have requirement to restrict selection values on 0Region to country US.  I have performed similar authorization restriction on 0plant that is working.

 

I want to restrict region entries where country code is US, but not restrict on 0country - again only the 50 states of US yet not restrict on countries

 

We have made 0region as nav attribute of 0SOLD_TO_0REGION

In RSD1 for 0Region set as auth relevant

 

In RSECADMIN, created new authorization called Regions

 

I understand that 0Region is compounded with 0country in RSD1

So I created a single entry by browsing the entries, filter on country USA and select New Mexico

The value that is inserted is I EQ NM.  Note it does not return the country or language which are keys to 0Region

 

When I assign this authorization to a user, and they select values for the nav attribute 0SOLD_TO_0REGION

the expectation is that will only see the entry for New Mexico, but that is not case

 

Anybody accomplish this?

SAP BW Cloudshare

Does anybody know where/how to provision a cloudshare machine for SAP BW or SAP BW on HANA.

 

I have seen the link to the free trial for SAP BW on HANA via Amazon Web Services, but I am specifically looking for a cloudshare machine.

Sales Key Figure "net value" with two different time references (confirmed delivery date and goods issue date)

Hi experts,
I would like to create an bw sales report with the key figure "Net value".
The special aspect is that I want to report the key figure "Net value" with two different time references.
So I need two different key figures.
My scenario look like this:
KF1: Net value (confirmed delivery date of schedule line)
KF2: Net value (Goods issue date)
e.g.
One sales order with a applied quantity of 10 pieces and a total net value of 10.000 EUR
The confirmed delivery date of schedule line for this sales order and all 10 pieces is the
15.05.2013. So the confirmation of the order is in the period 05 and the customer expects
the goods in this period.
However the goods issue date was actually one month later on 15.06.2013.
So the customer has received his goods in the period 06.
 
So my report should look like this:

I already have the following two BW Standard InfoCubes in use:
InfoCube "Delivery Service" (0SD_C04) and the InfoCube "Sales overview" (0SD_C03).
In the Delivery Service Cube (0SD_C04) I have identify the key figure
"confirmed delivery date of schedule line" (0REQ_CATEK) and the key figure
"Goods issue date" (0GIDATE).
In the Sales overview Cube (0SD_C03) I have the relevant key figure
"Net value" (0NET_VAL_S) but in the standard the time reference is the
"Update date statistics" (0ST_UP_DTE).
Any ideas to realise my report requirement?
Or is there a standard in the BI content for my requirement?

Direct Upgrade from BW 7.0 with ERP components SEM-BW and FI to BW 7.4

We are looking to upgrade our BW 7.0 sps 28 system (separate ABAP and Java
stacks) which includes the ERP components SEM-BW 600 and FINBASIS 600 to the latest BW version 7.4.

 

This upgrade is not a migration to Hana.
The RDBMS is currently Oracle and will remain Oracle.

 

The question is whether this upgrade is a direct upgrade to BW 7.4 or a 2-step upgrade due to the ERP components.

In looking at this upgrade in the past, an upgrade to BW 7.31 (from the same NW 7.0 source) would have been a 2-step upgrade due to the ERP components.
There were/are OSS notes that describe this.

 

We are re-visiting this upgrade for BW 7.4 and are not seeing that 2-step restriction from the Master Guide and OSS notes or from the forums.


It would be great to verify if a direct upgrade from BW 7.0 (with the ERP components SEM-BW 600 and FINBASIS 600) to BW 7.4 (and BW 7.4 related SEM-BW/FINBASIS versions) can occur.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated regarding this topic.

if so can you tell me the relationship between these tables? i tried to find online but was not able to get anything.

I'm facing an issue while importing transformation and DTP from my dev to quality system.

 

The transport error log is as follows.

The objects are not imported at all, despite the error log saying that the object status is inactive.

 

My system is BW 7.4, SP02.

 

Kindly advice on how to overcome this issue and do a successful transport.

Start Routine Data Deletion

Dear Experts,

 

Good Day!

 

We have a custom data source which is not delta capable. But, the data will be changed periodically.

In order to behave this data source as delta capable, we are loading this data periodically (1h interval real time timestamp) with some workaround.

 

That is, records that are fetched from the data source in the 1h interval are taken and deleted from the target DSO beforehand by a start routine.

Once the records are deleted in the start routine, the new data is then loaded to the target.

 

Problem is, the above methodology is not recommended by SAP, as it requires deletion of entries in the same database table, for which the data is about to be loaded.

 

Any ideas on how to overcome this or how to alternatively work this out as a standard practice is highly appreciated.

 

Let me know for any clarifications and I'm happy to elaborate.

Extraction and Data load procedures for Position Management: 0CFM_INIT_POSITIONS & 0CFM_DELTA_POSITIONS

Hi,

 

I am working on project where I have to delivery Treasury related reports.

 

I wanted to activate 0CFM_INIT_POSITIONS & 0CFM_DELTA_POSITIONS data sources by followign the path

 

SPRO > Financial Supply Chain Management >>Treasury and Risk Management >>Transaction Manager>>

General Settings>> Business Information Warehouse

 

I have defined both the datasource, but while checking data in RSA3 following error is given by system.

 

DataSource 0CFM_INIT_POSITIONS is not defined in the source system

 

Please guide me in this regards.

Dear All,

 

Please share your help.

 

Here is situation where process chai (Master Data)n is running on daily basis which was successful earlier . But from few days it is in YELLOW status when checked, there is TIME_OUT error.

 

And another is giving

CEXPORT_BUFFER_NO_MEMORYCX_SY_EXPORT_BUFFER_NO_MEMORY

 

Please share your ideas.

Question reg the HIER data

Hi,

Read many posts regarding the postable nodes and leaves.

But would like to clarify on below:

 

Have a plant hierarchy.

In R3, its like

 

1231  00  01 DR01

-> 1222  00  01  DR01

   -> 2100  00  01  DR01

-> 1223  00  01  DR01

 

Eg: plant -> 1231, Div -> 00, Channel -> 01, Sales org -> DR01

 

Now in BW, Plant is authorization relevant, it got Div, Channel and Salesorg as Compounding attr.

Hence when loaded, it comes like

 

00/01/DR01/1231

  -> 00/01/DR01/1222

    -> 00/01/DR01/2100

  -> 00/01/DR01/1223

 

Is this fine and can I use plant alone directly in reports to use the hierarchy authorization of nodes?

Or should I load it in the other way? I mean remove the compounding and add the Div, channel and Sales org in external char of Plant?

 

What's the difference and advantage/disadvantage? Is it text related? If so how?

System performance & SM58 Time limit exceeded error.

Dear Guru's,

Last few weeks the system performance has been very slow.Also my DSO fail to activate on weekends with resource error . Upon observation i noticed that the DIA work processes are always fully occupied.

How should i make sure, if it is an issue with the Basis Tables or BW ?

 

1) All my DTP's taking very long hours. Which tables i should be checking .

I cheked RSBERRORLOG table and it has 0 entries in it.

 

2) I observe that all my loads getting struck with the error Time limit exceeded error in SM58 in source system .Below are the table sizes:

rdisp/max_wprun_time is set to 10800 sec

ARFCSSTATE - 152 entries

ARFCRSTATE - 3160 entries

ARFCSDATA   - 21,239 entries

TRFCQOUT     - 10 entries

rest 0 entries

 

ECC

 

ARFCSSTATE - 2,584,487

ARFCRSTATE - 23 entries

ARFCSDATA   - 6,149,489 entries

TRFCQOUT     - 2,583,278 entries

 

could it be a cause ? Should be checking any thing else?

Fields for creating view for sale order

Hello Gurus,

 

I have a requirement of creating a reconciliation report for Sales order.  I believe that the tables having sales order information are VBAK & VBAP? But my doubt is that, while trying to create a view with these 2 tables, these are having lots of fields. While checking the data sources for Sales overview cube, I think 2LIS_11_VAHDR & 2LIS_11_VAITM datasources are feeding sales order data to the cube.

2LIS_11_VAHDR - VBAK, VBUK

2LIS_11_VAITM - VBAK, VBAP, VBKD, VBUK, VBUP.

I am planning to take what all fields are there for these 2 data sources under VBAK & VBAP for creating  view.  Is my approach correct? Or do i need to take all the fields used in these data sources? Kindly suggest.
