Process change question

Hello experts,

 

I'm a BPC consultant so I need some BW help and love. We have developed an ABAP program to create a custom hierarchy in BW 7.4. I'm trying to pull the hierarchy into BPC 10.0 using one of the standard BPC process chains. If I use the same process chain on a standard InfoObject the parent nodes pull in without an issue. When I connect to the custom object with a custom hierarchy, the parent nodes are not showing up. The custom program writes entries into the /BI*/H table to create the hierarchy and the hierarchy is activated at the end of the procedure. I checked the table entries in tables RSHIEDIR, RSHIEDIRT and /BI*/H, they are there. However I don't see entries in RSMHIERNODE or RSTHIERNODE tables. I'm thinking maybe that's the table where the parent members are populated from. How can check which table does the process chain connect to?

Table for Portfolio queries

Hello,

 

I am looking for an easy way out to identify all the queries that are saved under the Bex Portfolio under the respective folders.

I have found a table that provides me all the Bookmark IDs - RSWR_DATA.

What I want to find out now is the table that will provide me the Description of each Bookmark ID without me going to each respective query and identifying it from the portfolio which is a tedious task.

I also would like to find out the path of each saved query from a table.

 

To summarize, I would like for you to advise on the Table name that would give me the description of each saved query and the respective path where it is saved in the Bex Portfolio.

How to activate all objects of EPM Demo?

Hi guys,

 

I just want to ask how to activate the E-Procurement Management Modell (NW Demo EPM) - 0D_NW_DEMO_EPM INFOAREA?

I'm currently using SAP BW 7.4 SP12 on HANA..

 

Also, how can I load data on the providers of EPM?

 

I tried to activate all the objects under 0D_NW_DEMO_EPM infoarea but some of the providers and all masterdata objects don't have transformations,datasources,and infopackages..

How to compare data of an infocube with their agregatted data

HI,

 

I need to compare a cube 1 with their aggregated data. For example, I would like to compare, in AO, KGS sold for selected customers with the Total KGS sold in their own countries.

 

The way I solved this is creating a second cube with KGS sold only with country dimension (not loading customer) and, later creating a muticube.

 

My question is, is it possible to do the same using only one cubre?

 

I mean, using the cube with the country and the customer and not having to create a second cube.

what is the prerequisite for creating cube ?

 

 

I am aware of the complete purpose of cube , it's creation, High cardinality , Line item dimension, e.t.c.

 

We will be going to create a cube , whenever we don't find a suitable standard cube at all.

otherwise we will remodel / reconstruct the existing cube.

 

Please let me know , what is the prerequisite for creating cube.

Business Package for SNC reports

Hell All,

 

I am searching for SAP standard Business Package in portal which has standard SNC related reports in it so that it can be deployed in portal to get those reports readily available, but could not find any.

Has anyone used such business package? Please share your thoughts/inputs.

Last Used doesn't show at Maintain Aggregates

Hi experts,

I have activated some aggregates for my Infocube but the problem it shows 0 to the Usage column and nothing to the Last Used column. Meanwhile I acvtivated the suggested aggregates from the system and it still doesn't show any time. Do I have to do something or to activate something or the statistics may come up after some time?

How not to loose delta records after system copy in sap bw

Hi All,

 

Recently we had system copy of ECC and BW production .We had new pre production system.


The current issues i am facing Without deleting the current  init request  it is not allowing to trigger delta infopackage.

 

please let me know the flow not to loose delta records.

 

1)new Init with data transfer--> Delta info package

2)new init without data transfer-->repair full request--> delta in package

 

or any other flow not to loose delta records?

Hello BW experts,

 

We have migrated the ABAP code from BW 7.0 to BW 7.4 and I have hit one roadmap which is become a show stopper. Please if some one has already already resolve the issue can help me with the resolution.

 

Error :

After analysing the error what I have found that

 

 

After upgrade the parameter length has changed in BW7.4 system

 

 

Length of fields l-low from table RSZRANAGE and l_s_var-low from Table RSZGLOBV  has changed from 60 chars to 1333 and 250 , as target and source lengths are not same it is throwing an above error.

 

Solution by SAP

 

To correct this SAP suggested to implement the below note for BW 7.4 .

 

SAP Note 2276400 has BW 7.4 note - 2252375​


but unfortunately this is before the upgrade so that the tables would not change. Now as already upgrade has happened and would like to revert back the changes to original how to do it or do we have other ways to resolve this issue.


I have already tried the below methods.


1. Changes made to the code where LIKE is changed to TYPES

2. registered the tables with the dev key for changes but it is now allowing and give me other errors and does not allow me to change the length of the field.


Please let me know if someone resolve this after upgrade.

SID Activation from Reporting to During Activation for existing DSO with Data

Hi Experts,

 

Requirement:

 

I had a requirement of using Composite Provider in which I am using 5 DSO's . All these DSO's are already existing in PROD with huge volume of records also these DSO's has settings SID ACTIVATION DURING REPORTING.

 

Issue:

 

But while using Composite Provider it says DSO's should have SID GENERATION DURING ACTIVATION as mandatory so I have changed it from REPORTING to during ACTIVATION. How to handle this in PRODUCTION. (It has data in it and what will be the impact when I change this and manually activate using PROGRAM)

BEx query on top of Multiprovider not returning data

Hi,

 

I created a BEx query on top of Multiprovider, The Multi provider built on top of Cube. Cube having data.

 

But the BEx query is not retuning data when I execute the report. Even I tried to display the Multiprovider level, the multiprovider displaying data by using display data.

 

BEx Query not returning data. there is know restrictions at Report level.

Process chain If then Condition based on days of the week

Hello Experts:

 

How are you doing. I have created a master process chain which uses an if then condition to run 2 different process chains based off different days of the week. It executes one process chain from Wednesdays to Sundays and executes another one on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The process chain Decision box was created based off as shown below.

For the formula I have used the following conditions for days of the week by using variables "SYST-FDAYW". The pic below shows the formula for deciding if the day of the week is either Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or a Sunday. I created a similar formula for Monday and Tuesday with SYST-FDAYW =1 or 2.

I am getting an error when I execute this process chain.

How to Update single(latest) record in ABAP Routine when there are multiple records in SOURCE-DSO.

Hi Experts,

I have a scenario where I need to lookup Standard price from lookup-DSO and update the std price value to only one record in Target-DSO based on Material, Plant and latest Creation date.

Example:

Lookup-DSO table:  Only singlerecord with Material and plant combination

Source-DSO table:  Multiple records with Material and plant combination based on different creation dates.

I written the below code but it’s not updating to only one latest record, rather its updating to all the record. So could you please help me with code for updating the latest record?

Start Routine:

TYPES: BEGIN OF S_SPRICE,
MATERIAL TYPE /BI0/OIMATERIAL,
PLANT TYPE /BI0/OIPLANT,
PRICE_STD TYPE /BI0/OIPRICE_STD,
END OF S_SPRICE.

Field Routine for Standard Price:

CLEAR WA_SPRICE.
READ TABLE IT_SPRICE INTO WA_SPRICE
WITH KEY MATERIAL = SOURCE_FIELDS-MATERIAL
PLANT = SOURCE_FIELDS-PLANT
BINARY SEARCH.
IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
RESULT = WA_SPRICE-PRICE_STD.
ENDIF.

ISSUE WITH 0co_om_wbs_6 datasource

Hi Experts,

 

I am having an issue with data source 0CO_OM_WBS_6.

 

There is a field called partner object type where it contains order,wbs,asset etc.

 

but when i check in the ECC with S_ALR_87013542 there are some line items which are not extracted by the 0CO_OM_WBS_6 with partner object type ORD.

 

now user wants to see the settlement for all the partner object type now how get those in the bw

 

do we need use any other extractor for getting the other object values for ORD,ASSET CCT or do we need to change any settings in BW or ECC.

Cost Element Description issue if I exclude a cost element in the selection screen

Hello experts,

 

I have a custom BW report.  In this cost element is a selection variable.  If I put in exclude some of the cost element(s) in the selection screen, after running the report, when the cost element characteristic is displayed, it is not showing the description.  Actually, it is showing the key itself as description.  In the key, it does not show the controlling area.  But, in the description it shows the controlling area, then a "/" and then the cost element.  If I don't exclude any cost elements, then the description of cost element is OK.  Further interesting thing is that, this is happening only for one user out of three users that are running the report.  This is happening to that user regardless where the user runs the report.  So, it is not specific to user's computer.

 

Any insight/suggestion/solution is appreciated.

Hierarchy activation using Process chain

Dear all,

 

I have few hierarchies which i activate manually everyday. I want to automate it using Process chain. I do not see any Process Variant as "Hierarchy Activation" there in RSPC. I tried to use "Save Hierarchy" but there it asks for Infopackage and this will not serve my purpose as I am activating few hierarchies which are directly created in Production system and for that there is no Infopackage to load it.

 

Please help me someone has faced this sort of issues and fixed it.

WEBi prompt not displaying Master data LOVs on selection screen

Hi Experts,

 

I have a WEBI report from a BW query. On the prompt of the report, I have :

Material

Plant

Vendor.


I can see LOVs for Plant and Vendor on selection screen . For Example,  If i enter say 17* , I can see all plants starting with 17. Similarly, same works with Vendor.


But when I am trying to see Material say 2104* , I am not getting any LOVs in search help in Webi. Even I tried with *, but ends with same result. In Back end, I have material number started with 2104* series.




I am getting values in Material prompt only if i enter the exact Material number in Prompt.


Could you please help me on this and let me know what needs to be done to display master data


Note :Plant  and Vendor info Object are having same properties as Material.
