Reverting back to 3.x flow from 7.x

Hello Guys,

 

I migrated one flow from 3.x to 7.x using the "with export" functionality. And transported everything to PRD environment. Now due to some reason i wanted it to revert it to 3.X flow . This i did in DEV system. But when i transport now i get an error as below for the datasource :

 

 

"DataSource 0CO_OM_CCA_9 does not exist in source system S_002 of version A"

 

 

Issue : Datasource 0CO_OM_CCA_9 exisits in 7.X format in the PRD system with source system as S_002. Then why am i getting the above error messsage.

 

 

 

Note: Please read this forum carefully as i am asking for 7.X to 3.X conversion.

Issue while enhancing the DS 0MAT_PLANT_ATTR

Hi All,

 

I have to get two fields MINBE and MABST in the DS 0MAT_PLANT_ATTR. When I checked the fields they are available in Extract structure. However, they are not there in DS. In RSA6 all the fields are in Unhide mode (These two fields are not present). When I checked the table ROOSFIELD, I found that these two fields are having A (Property: Hidden by SAP). I wrote the program to turn the Property from A to P, but got following error "MEINS field in is hidden in the datasource" (MEINS is not there in DS).

 

How to proceed on this?

Attribute Change run Performance issue

Employee deletion in infocube thro Process chain

Hi All,

 

I want to delete some employees in Infocube ( YPA_C01 ) using selective deletion using Process chain.

 

I have lookup DSO ( YPA_D20 ) which has employee number. whatever employee has in this DSO, has to be deleted in infocube.

 

 

Could anyone please help me by writing ABAP code.?

Unable to see appended field in RSA3

          Hi All,

 

I am unable to see the appended field in RSA3

 

ZZEISLO (Customized field)  >>Property in ROOSFIELD changed to P.

 

Populating the data through CMOD( But this is secondary, first is I am not able to see the field itself).

 

Can someone pls help?

Infopackage failure in Bw

Hello All,

 

Our Info Package failed with caller 70 error. Analysed it but not able to identify exact cause. Checked many threads in this forum.

 

Flow is : Vistex Standard extractor -->PSA-->DSO. (we are using bw7.3 but this is 3.5 flow).

 

Source job is completed and data came to BW. It is failing while updating  data to DSO. As a result we have couple of red requests in PSA now.

 

We repeated the delta couple of times and failed.in dump i saw it was message type x error  and terminated program is SAPLRSDDS, but no clues.

 

Totally two infopackages are failing and both are loading data to two different DSOs.

 

Error in short dump :

 

>>>>>   MESSAGE x299(brain) WITH sy-repid i_formnm.

 

any inputs ?

Load data from source system by using web service (pull) adapter into SAP BW

Hello together,

 

we want to load data in our BW-system by using the data source type "Web Service (Pull)" which is offered in the BW-system.

The technical connection works, we also have the WSDL templates offered by the BW system.

 

But for the creation of the web service in the source system we need more then just the technical description. The colleague needs a description of the BW data source from where he gets an understanding how to configure and using it on the source system (non BW).

 

We use BW 7.31 SP17 with activated Web Service (Pull) adapter.

 

Has anyone experience of loading data using Web Service (Pull) to BW from a source system?

Is there a existing white paper for requesting data by a web service?

Has anyone tips how to solve this gap, so we can pull data from the source system?

BW 7.4 Upgrade / HANA Migration Clarificaitons

Hi Experts,

 

We are planning an upgrade for the BW system from BW 7.01 to BW 7.4 latest SP ( SP14) on HANA .

 

I have couple of queries

 

1) Do the standard Info Cubes in BW 7.01 get auto converted to HANA optimised Info Cubes post upgrade / migration ? I know that they can be done through the transaction RSMIGRHANADB, I am sure that they don't get auto converted in BW 7.3 but is it the same in the latest SP of BW 7.4 as well?

 

 

2) If the standard Info Cube in BW 7.01 has got transfer rules / update rules , is it mandatory to migrate the transfer rules/ update rules so that the Info Cube can be converted to HANA optimized ? If the answer to the first question is yes , does the transfer / update rules also get auto converted when we do the upgrade / HANA migration ?

 

3)  What are the major checks that we need to do for the custom code / programs / exits etc. when we do the BW upgrade /HANA migration. I know SAP has a tool - ZBW_ABAP_ANALYSER for the same? what other checks are necessary ?

 

Can you please share your thoughts / information on this one.

APD Tranformation Error RSAN_WB010 :While extracting year from date

HI ,

 

I have developed a APD which consumes flat file (CSV) as an input and does some transformation in a date field and outputs a target file.

This is the format of the file.The date is in YYYYMMDD format.

 

Actually , the requirement is to concatenate the Year and Week number.So i am trying to extract the year from date and find the week number from the date and concatenate them.Kindly let me know if this is the correct approach to do this ?

In APD , i have given the formula as DATE_YEAR( Calendar year / week ) and the Info Object as 0CALYEAR.When I Check the APD, it gives an error as below :

Message No. RSAN_WB010

Diagnosis

Technical key for message: CX_RSAN_MDL_DS_FILE=>FILE_READ_ERROR

Procedure

If you require further assistance, look for a SAP Note containing the key words CX_RSAN_MDL_DS_FILE=>FILE_READ_ERROR or RSAN_WB010.

 

 

Can you please guide me , what is the mistake here ?

Can you block material provided to vendor?

(i'm new here so I don't know if i'm in the right place)

 

I'm having an issue with material i'm moving to vendor. When I have failed material, sometimes I move it out of blocked stock (T-code 343) and transfer it to the vendor for inspection (T-code 541) the problem with this is once it's moved to the vendor using T-code 541 it shows in unrestricted stock when people are checking demand for that material leading us to sometimes release work orders. I'm wondering if there's a way to move material to blocked stock after it been moved to the vendor code, or if there is a generic vendor code I can move material to that won't reflect on hand for my plant?

Process Chain status alerts mail in BW 7.4

Hi,

 

Now we are in BW 7.4, need's to automate the process chain alerts for both failure and success status (Not single process chain).

 

I have find some of the documents in older versions, can anyone suggest me the exact way to handle status alerts.

Delta initialization after full loads

Dear  experts, kindly give me advice.

I made numerous full loads to PSA, it took almost month (because ECC contains huge amounts of data).

I am using generic data source.

Each row contains date of creation.

Now I have to do delta and stunned.

Should I trigger delta initialization without data transfer for whole period?

Or delta initialization only from yesterday with data transfer.

Or, like my colleague suggests - to schedule loads with variable (previous day) with full load method.

I am afraid to ruin one month work.

and specially we are looking for report to send an email to business that if extractor has brought "Zero" records.

Leading zero's not appearing in DSO

Dear all,

 

I am loading data from Flat_File->PSA->DSO. There are leading zero;s in Flat file and the same I can see in PSA. But after loading data in DSO leading zero's are not appearing. My Infoobject doesn't have "ALPHA" conversion.

 

Please guide me in this regards as I need leading zero;s in DSO and at BEx report level.

Option not getting while adding BW Project in HANA Studio

Hi ,

 

I am trying add SAP BW Project in SAP HANA Studio, But while adding we need to Attach/Assing/Add HANA Repository For accessing Exsting Hana Information Models(Analytical/Calculation Views) into BW Models .

 

For Example :

I need to create Composite Provider with 1 BW Info Provider & 1 Calculation views.

In this we need Hana System .

 

I am not getting the Option Attach HANA System.

 

Please help me.

We are on 7.01 and want to upgrade to 7.5.

There are different messages flying around.
