There is a process chain running fine for master data with delta DTP.
now , I am going to change only dtp from Delta to Full DTP in the development and transporting only that dtp into production so
does it successful replace the delta dtp with full load dtp in the production??

but in dso2 there is no suitable object i.e there is no 0mat_plant, or 0rt_ssmfgr
so please explain to me how to maping dso2---dso3 . and how to get data in dso3

Hi,
i need to connect a BW 7.4 to a R/3 system 4.6C.
but in the 4.6C we have
| ST-PI | 2008_1_46C |
But we don't have PI Basis plugin, so we don't have any BW transaction in R/3
My question is :
Can i install the basis plugin and then connect R/3 to BW ?
Where can i found source for basis plugin ? which version do i have to install ?
is there another way to connect R/3 without installing the basis plugin ?

Is there any way of extracting data from Virtual Infocube and load to other data target like Standard Cube?
Reason is we have query on virtaul cube and its taking very long time to execute and then ulitmately giving error of number of rows exceeded.However the requirement is to extract all the data from cube for a year but this requirement is not met because of this issue.
So, we thought of extracting data from query based on this Virtual Provider to standard cube. However we are not getting proper data. So, is there any other way extracting data from Virtual cube to Standard cube?

i have a requirement to compress the requests of a cube through abap program. I dont want to compress all the requests. I want to compress only selected requests. Please tell which fun module will help for this. or is there any other way to compress the requests in a bw cube.
I have a similar requirement for bpc cube also and posted in bpc forum for that, so please share your thoughts.

I am running a Delta DTP from DSO to InfoCube, however I am facing an issue.
Delta DTP loads all records with zeros in all the key figures, where as Full DTP loads the same no. of records with correct key figures.
- The DTP is from Active Table (Without Archive)
- There are no special filters on the Delta DTP
- It is a standard DSO, and Standard Cube.
Please suggest how to fix this to get correct values in delta DTP.

We have a standard General ledger DSO,I want to identify whether active table of this DSO is used as look up for any other data loads.
Is there any table/way to find out instead of checking each data load start and end routine. We have many data loads in process chain.

We have a cube with compressed packages and uncompressed. There are several DSOs that are the source data. We need to delete and reload the uncompressed packages from a process chain. The mechanism needs to work similar to selecting the uncompressed packages and deleting to allow a subsequent delta to reload the deleted data. BW is version 7.0.

I have an issue trying to load Data from the 0Mat_plant_attr datasource. The Data from the ECC system is very heavy and is like 40 millions of records.
I'm trying to do multiples loads using a full load using filters, but i'm not able to because i can't select Init without data transfer.
Does anyone knows how i could achieve that?.

Hi All,
In our project, the Cube Selective deletion program failed. As per the process chain, selective deletion program is added to delete from current date to last day of the month.I have done the compression for this info Cube till 31st November.
After doing this, the selective deletion is not working in Process chain as expected. I have deleted the data manually from 9th dec to 31st dec. Till 28th Dec I have successfully deleted. I am unable to delete 29th and 30th Dec data manually. While trying to delete I am getting the ABAP dump.
Exception condition "X_MESSAGE" raised.
While checking the SM37 job log, the below message displays.

I have generated a export data source in PROD of another SAP BW System and have replicated it in my BW PROD System. After replication, the data source remains inactive. I also tried transporting the Export Data source generated in the target (Another SAP BW System) and transporting it to PROD and then replicate it in my PROD system, but the Export data source remains inactive. I have tried RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL , RSDS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE_ALL Programs but they don't recognize the Export data source starting with 8*......I have checked all connections between source and target PROD systems and they are fine. How should I proceed for activation of the export data source ? Searched a lot of forums but did not get any solutions for this.

I have seen couple of doc regarding Generic datasource on FM called RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE using as templet to create generic DS ,but I want to use this FM "RP_FILL_WAGE_TYPE_TABLE" in generic datasource to get Basic salary( monthly ) and Personal Element. I guess I need to create Extract Structure explicitly with required fields.

We are considering implementing a NLS solution for our large BW system. We have completed the database analysis and identified all the large BW objects viz., DSOs, InfoCubes, Master data, Changelogs, Joblogs, PSAs.
I have found information related to nearlining InfoCubes. DSOs.and PSAs. So far I am unable to find information related to nearlining Master data, Changelogs and Joblogs.
1. Is there a general guidance from SAP on which objects can be nearlined ? Is the assumption that SAP supports nearlining all objects/tables?
2. Is partitioning required for nearlining? How does it help?
3. Are dimension tables eligible to be nearlined?
4. Does SAP recommend nearlining Master data?
5. Does SAP recommend nearlining Changelogs?
6. Does SAP recommend nearlining Joblogs?
7. We have implemented archiving on ECC. Is there a way to ensure on BW that the only data that gets nearlined is the data that has been already archived on ECC?

As I am checked in ST22 tcode its showing as(MESSAGE_TYPE_X) error it is showing.

Hi All,
In one big process chain, there are several ABAP program created to delete previous day's requests after each load. One of the program takes longer sometimes and that causes deadlock issue when subsequent ABAP program starts before the first one completely ends. Both touches the same target and cannot put together into one. This is the sequence, Load request to ODS, first abap program, load data from second source to same ODS, start second abap program, ODS activation e.t.c, Is there a way I can put together a step in the middle of first ABAP and second ABAP program to see if predecessor ABAP program completely finished before the second program kicks in. I tried wait time interval, it helped few times but did not help completely because time varies or sometimes due to increase in data volume. Please help.

Can somebody please explain about doing repair full load on delta loaded ODS? We are planning to do full repair load for all years into one of the ODS -A. We have done an enhancement on ODS-A, that is the reason behind repair load. The source is delivery BW datatarget that sources other multiple data targets besides ODS-A. We have been told once finish doing repair load pulling all delivery data to ODS-A, we also go and re-init delta initilization with out data transfer from delivery-datamart. My question is why do we have to do that since we are doing "Repair Full Load" that will overwrite existing data. Why to re-init after repair load? Doesn't it delta flow automatically with existing initialization after repair load? Can someone please let me know if that step of re-initialization is required?

when end user created one po in 2 items and deleted that and recreate 3 items in same po.
then by dso level is display 3 records in that particular po number ( i.e it display correct data)
but my cube level it display 5 records (deleted records also) i.e (i think , this is incorrect data ) in my billing cube
so please tell me what are the possible reasons is occurred and please tell me how to get correct data in my cube

After transport my DS&Transformation are still showing the ERP DEV it suppose to show the ERP QAS why?
My ERP QAS RFC connection are connected properly and i am able to replicate my DS in BW QAS.
In BW DEv system
1)RSA1-->Transport connection-->F8(change view"conversion of source system name after the transport") No values is maintained
Do i need to maintain the source system and target system name in DEV system?
In BW QAS system
