LOEKZ (Deletion indicator)not populating for item and scl extractors

    Hi ,

 

We have Purchasing data 0PUR_C01 which is updating data directly from 2 extractors with Item and Scl with No DSO in middle.

 

We have a strange issue where Client requires Doc and item excluding the deleted items in the BW report. We have built a report  excluding deleted items based on Deletion Indicator (0RES_DEL) which is been mapped to LOEKZ standard field in datasource.

 

But we don't see the data is not correctly updating  for items and later i tested in RSA3 as well but the data is not getting populated.

 

Later We have tested using Reversal Indicator (0STORNO) but it didn't worked in our scenario where the negative keyfigure item is filled with R( delete item) but still there is a positive value Item exists without R where the item appears in report even though it is deleted.

 

There is no custom code written for this deletion indicator but still the data wasn't accurate . Is there any way that can work it on this issue.

 

 

Can you please advice asap in what way this scenario can be fixed.

Entries in RBBS Transaction disappear

Hi,

 

in my team we have the problem, that some of the rbbs entries in BW disappear.

 

We have created some queries and from time to time some queries disappear from transaction rbbs.

 

 

Anybody an idea why ?

tcode: rsvc not working in bw to point bex query to another multiprovider

Hello, I'm using BW 7.3 on Oracle database. I have a requirement where I need to test a multiprovider and a bex query. So in the test environment I created a copy of the multi-provider and activated it. Then I created a copy of the bex query and saved it. Now this newly copies bex query is still pointing to the old multiprovider. So I need to repoint it to the newly created multiprovider. Note: I created copies only to test so that I dont impact the actual query and multiprovider. The copied bex query and multiprovider and exact copies of the original versions, no infoobjects or keyfigures were removed. Then I used rsvc tcode, I provide the source multiprovider, the target multiprovider and then I selected the copied bex query (newly created bex query). Everything works fine. After that I log into bex query designer to see the multiprovider of the bex query, I see that it is still pointing to the old multiprovider and not the new one. So my question is that I'm doing something wrong in order to point the bex query to the new multiprovider. Or is there some thing else that I need to do, help, guidance will be appreciated. thanks Regards, samique

Authorization to restrict shown values in query designer

Hi guys,

 

Just want to ask the needed authorization object so that users creating queries will only see the "authorized" values when restriction an infoobject?

 

For example:

 

I have an infoobject 0COMP_CODE with values:

1000

2000

3000

4000

5000

 

User A is authorized only to see the company codes for 1000 and 2000..

 

So when user A wanted to restrict the 0COMP_CODE in the query designer, he/she must only see the values 1000 and 2000 in the list..What authorization object do I need to implement this?

Data load issue SQL message: ORA-01438: value larger than specified

Hi Experts

 

I am getting dump issue while loading from Datasource to DSO .

Not sure how to find the exact column what is causing the issue .

 

There is no start routine / end routine in transformation .

This dump is not happening for all invoice numbers . only few invoice numbers are getting failed.

 

Please check attached snapshots of error .

Infopackage failure

Hello all,

 

I am trying to run an IP but it is giving me error like No successful initialisation of delta took place.

So I check in Scheduler tab by clicking my IP there I did not find any initilisation there.

So I ran INIT first but the problem is there is 9 million data fetching from source (2LIS_13_VDITM) extractor ,in the middle like after bringing 4 or 7 million data  it is giving Process overdue error again.Please suggest regarding this as I am unable to set initilisation and delta for this IP also not started.

About loading Hierarchy

Hi everyone,

 

i am reading document on SAP Help about loading Hierarchy on BW :

Creating a Transformation for a Hierarchy - Modeling - SAP Library

 

Intervals in IDOC format: The interval segment in IDoc format is not compatible with the interval segment of the target structure. Therefore you need to create a start routine that writes the From value of the interval to the node structure segment. The corresponding function call is created by default as a comment in a new start routine. You simply have to remove the comments and enter the correct source field of the hierarchy basis characteristic.


i don't understand the meaning of "writes the From value of the interval to the node structure segment" and "enter the correct source field of the hierarchy basis characteristic".

what is the From Value? what is node Structure segment ? and what is the correct source field of the hierarchy basis characteristic?


i have checked the source and target segment in my transformation i could not find any field named "From Value", or there is no segment named "note structure"


Can you please help me with this Issue.

Composite Providers not supported with IDT relational connection

Hi,

 

First of all, moderators ! I am not even sure if it is BW or IDT (Information Design Tool) limitation. Therefore, please feel free to move this discussion to relevant space.

 

Case: Consume composite providers in IDT to create relational connection.

 

Result: Unable to view composite providers/advance DSOs when creating relational connection.

 

Findings:

 

Semantec Layer Relationally Exposed Data Source document (found in slide 20 of BI 4.1 PAM) dictates that only following info providers are supported.

 

Infocube, DSO, Multiprovider & VirtualProvider

 

SAP Note 2140125 dictates that "because BW does not provide necessary services so Information Design Tool and Semantic Layer could consume Composite Providers as pseudo relational data source"

 

Workarounds:

 

Our BW professional was able to hack the functional module or enter static entries in source table (did something ) to make all the providers available

Queries:

 

  • Is there any better explanation/justification on "Why these new providers not available in IDT for relational connection?"
  • Do you favour the workaround? Please explain why in both cases "Yes" or "No"

Problem transformation / Routine

Hello,


I have as source a query. Some fields can be assigned directly. But in some fields, a logic is required. Unfortunately I do not know where and how I can incorporate this logic. These fields are part of a structure of the query. Do I need to create end routine ?

Need to Load the data from Cube to DSO with Overwrite functionality. Is it possible?"

Hi All,

 

 

   We have the following scenario.

 

 

1. Data is loading from cube 1 to cube 2 with delta functionality. Requests are loaded into the cube1 from different sources for same key combination.

 

 

2. So in Cube1, there will be multiple records for same key combination since the requests are from different sources.

 

 

3. So when the data is loaded from cube1 to cube2 with delta functionality, since all the requests from cube1 goes as single request to cube2 and thus the field result is getting added.

 

 

Ex : Cube 1 :

 

 

source 1 Request 1 X   Y   20

 

source 2 Request 2 X   Y   20

 

source 3 Request 3 X   Y   20

 

 

       Cube 2 :

 

 

Request 1   X   Y   60   .....which is wrong in our scenario...the expected result is 20 when the data is loaded from cube 1 to cube 2.

 

 

Conditions : Source Request(Cube1) should be deleted without deleting the target Request(Cube2), when required in future. (we know that source request cannot be deleted once the request is loaded to the target. only after deleting the request in the target we can delete the request in the source.

 

 

What would be best solution for the above secanrio.? Whether we can load the data from Cube1 with full update to DSO1 and then from DSO1 with delta update to Cube2 will resolve the issue and will meet the above condition.? Please provide your expert advice.....

When Data is loaded from One DSO(Source) to Another DSO(Target), the number of records in the target is more when compared to number of records in the source.

Hi Experts,

 

     I have a scenario, When loading data from One DSO1(Source) to Another DSO2(Target), the number of records in the target is more when compared to number of records in the source.

 

Ex :

 

No of Source records : 261002

 

No of Target records : 261865

 

DTP used with Delta update.

 

Also please do let me know if you need any information on this.

 

 

Your Expert Advise is needed ASAP as this a production defect and need to be fixed.

Generic datasource is not replicating with correct fields

Hi experts,

 

 

We have a custom (generic) datasource based on the view which was created on FAGLFLEXA table. ECC team upgraded the system from ECC 6.0 to EHP6 last week. After the EHP6 upgrade BW system is not pulling the SGTXT and LIFNR fields in BW datasource anymore. SGTXT and LIFNR have a description that is used in BW-FI reports. I checked the generic datasource 'ZFI_GL_14' via RSO2 and found that SGTXT, LIFNR are not the part of the custom view but they are available in the extractor. I replicated the datasource but "SGTXT, LIFNR" are not updating the BW datasource. Then I deleted the datasource in BW and replicate it again but had no success. I also tried to add those fields in Custom View "Z_FI_GL_14" but having error "Field BSEG-SGTXT does not exist in any one of the base tables". Can any one of you help me to resolve the issue?

 

Any kind of help will be appreciated and i will assign the points as well.

What is Delta-Specific Field if Time Stamp and Date Fields are not available?

I need to create a generic datasource on Std. table FAGL_SPLINFO where No Time Stamp filed and No date fields which contain data is available so how to create generic delta on the datasource which based on this table?

Unable to (re)create myself connection in BW system

Hello,

 

i am wondering, if any of you can help me with following issue on our QA system (SCQ).

 

We did a bacukp-restore PRD to QA of our SAP (BW) system. After restore, we deleted all source systems and now we cannot create SCQ-to-SCQ source system in RSA1 anymore.

 

I found in SAP help, that myself connection is created automatically when you enter Administrators Workbench transaction (RSA1) for the first time. You cannot create myself source system manually in Source system section of RSA1.

 

However, we also tried to make source system manually, but we figured out this is not OK, because system automatically stops IDOCS that have the same source and target system (infinite loop).

 

So - how could we recreate myself connection??

Generic delta timestamp problem

Hello experts,

 

Here is the actual case:

 

In R3 side we have z table.

A job at 00.01:00 every day filling the table from a standard table.

My delta starts at 04:00:00.

 

Lets take a example:

 

Job at R3 side works at 00:01:00 on 18 March fills the table with new entries.

I start initial data load at 10.00:00 on 18 March and check that every data is in the cube. (Thus RSA7  Timestamp value = 18.02.2016 10:00:00)

Job at R3 side works at 00:01:00 on 19 March and fills the table with new entries.

My delta starts 04:00:00 on 19 March.

 

There are records whose timestamps are between 18:02:2016 00:01:00 and 18.02.2016 10:00:00.

My delta misses these records; what can be the solution without locking the system?

Sales order - date changes not reflected in delta load but correct with full load

Hi, Last month, I got a complaint from a customer that requested date is in incorrect in BW for some document numbers. I did extraction test with RSA3 and found out that the user exit extracted the correct date. in BW DSO and Cube have different dates. I did a full load extraction and the issue was resolved. Recently, I got same complaint again that date is incorrect.  I did another extraction test and correct date shows but I do not want to do a full load anymore without finding out the root cause. does anyone know how  I can resolve the issue. - Bhat
