How to read out field "krb5principalname" on BI/BW? (SQL, Table)
Dear all,
I am the authorization guy and have crateded a transaction on CUA-System (Central User Administration on Solution Manager).
This transaction reads out roles (PFCG), parameters for BI access, org. model data from CRM (PPOMA_CRM).
Now I like also to read out this kerberos attribut in field "krb5principalname" in identity management (see picture below).
Now my question:
- Is this field value saved in any database? Which database? Which table?
- How can I retrive this field value with any SAP tools (Function Module, Class/Methode)?
- How can I retrive this data via RFC from any other SAP System (i.e. from CUA)?
Any help and hints are very appreciated.

Error while downloading a hierarchy to a flat file
Hi,
I create manually a time dependent hierarchy for 0HRPOSITION. When I try to download this hierarchy to a flat file using the program Z_SAP_HIERARCHY_DOWNLOAD I get a dump with the following error:
"The call to function module "RSNDI_SHIE_STRUCTURE_GET" is incorrect:
In the function module interface, it was stipulated that only fields of a specific type and length can be specified under "E_T_HIERINTVL". The
currently specified field )" ") has the right type, but its length is incorrect."
I''ve been looking through forums and can't get any help. Can somebody help me? I will greatly appreciate it.

There isn't Query Designer and Analyser available
Hi everyone,
My company has just install SAP BW and ERP. I follow some Referenz on SCN discussion to find Query Designer in the Folder"Business Explore".
But when i click on Start, there isn't Folder Business Explore, and ofcourse, there aren't Query Designer and Analyser.
I don't understand why?

Data upload with correct master data
Just learning BW modelling...
I'm developing one of my first BI applications with a very simple setup: load data from CSV into DSO, then into a Cube.
Some fields of the CSV should link to master data fiels, e.g. Company Code - already maintained in the BW. My expectation was that if someone tries to upload rows without correct master data values, BW will not allow to insert this data. However, no such restriction does exist. All data will be written to the DSO whether the master data already exists in the system or not.
How can I restrict uploads to existing master data values? (and what is best practice?)

SAP bw FI vs CO
Hi,
i am SAP BW consultant.
i worked on FIGL, FIAP, FIAR related datasources, tables, dsos, cubes.
i know that following tables used and i worked on it
FIGL - BSEG, BKPF
FIAP - BSID, BSAD
FIAR - BSIK, BSAK
i know that clearing document will be generated when Accounting Document no. is closed or cleared.
Please find below the list of doubts which i have in my head
1. Accounting Document Flow (when it will get created and what are the different stages of it before clearing doc no is generated).
2. How FI GL, FI AP, FI AR are related? i know that FIAP is related to vendors, FIAR is related to Customers. But through tables or through functionality how FIGL, FIAP and FIAR are linked?
3. Controlling Document no. flow(when it will get created and what are the different stages of it ? and how it gets cleared?)
4. Is there any relation between FI accounting doc no and CO doc no?

Adding attribute to infoobject does not deactivate the below objects sap bw 7.4
Hi
Please can someone tell me if this is a new feature in 7.4 version.
I added 2 new attributes in an infoobject and activated it. the transformations loading into this info object and data flow upward objects on this infoobject are still showing as active.
I am not sure whether these transformations are now activated in the backend itself when activating the infoobject. However these transformations etc have not been included in the transport.
Because everything looks active, i just moved the Info object in the transport. Now in the other systems i can still see that the dependant transformations etc are active but i am getting a assign_type_conflict error on some transformations for which i am having to manually activate the transformations.
Any ideas?

Short dump with Message cx_rsr_X_message As soon as execute DTP
Hi Experts,
Please advise to solve this process chain failure. DTP gets fail even before it trigger with follwoing abap dump.
Runtime Error - UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
Excepton - CX_RSR_X_MESSAGE
Terminated Program - SAPLRRMS
All flow is reactivated but still issue is there. Please advise on attached detail.

Is it possible to create a Database-View based on Multiprovider
Hi all,
Is it possible to create a Database-View based on Multiprovider? The Multiprovider is based an SPO (DSO-based with 16 Partitions)
Goal is to select the data from an SPO (DSO-based with 16 Partitions) in an ABAP-Routine.
I don't want to create a view directly over the SPO because he has 16 partitions (will be extended)

Is it possible to receive a csv flat file for loading in to DSO via email?
Hello
I am trying to load non SAP data from a cloud application into a DSO on my BW 7.3 server. In this non SAP application I am able to create and email csv files which contain the raw data required. Is it possible to receive this email in to my BW server and to automatically process the attached csv file such that I can load it in to my DSO?
Any pointers very gratefully received.

Time Issue while loading Flat file data
Dear Experts,
I am loading Flat file Data in to BI. While I am activating the DSO it was getting failed due to Time format issue.
Suppose if my transaction has been held in time 08:49:01AM. if I change it in HHMMSS in .CSV file i am getting 84901.
When I load to dso and activate it was throwing the error Value 84901 of characteristic 0TIME is not a number with 000006 Spaces.
here i tried to add 0 in prefix to 84901 in flat file but it was not taking . like this i am having so many records. if time is in upto 1am to 9am time records i am facing this problem. can we write field level routine to populate 0 in prefix to this. if possible please provide code also. Below I am attaching time format in PSA.

SYSTEM Copy converted Transformations to $TMP package
we had a recent system copy on our SCM 7.01 system ( BW7.02 ) ,
conversion of source system names was fine , pointing to a different source system.
issue is now we see all transformations that had converted source system names are inactive and are in the $ TMP package instead of the original package., dependent DTPs is contained in the old package and is not in $TMP.
please advice what needs to be done ,, I also came across a note -

Uploading attribute data from CSV
Still learning BW development...
I've created a simple DSO loaded from a CSV file. The CSV contains some key figures, one characteristic and some attributes of this characteristic.
Now if I create a simple query mirroring the CSV-file (just as a test), I can see the characteristic value and all of the key figures. However, the attributes are still empty although the data exists in the DSO data preview.
Did I miss something? Are there additional steps required for loading attributes?

Lock all user before start extracting LO datasource to bW
Hi everyone,
my company have 3 ERP systems: DEV, QAV and PRO
Data in DEV system is copied from PRO system 2 times a year
Data in QAV system is copied from PRO system every 3 days
Now i am loading Purchasing und Sale datasource in ERP DEV to BI DEV system. Because these Datasources are LO Datasource so as the Steps in SCN Forum, i need to lock all users before starting.
But i think ERP DEV system has no new data when i load the data to BI so i think i don't need to lock all users right?

dump 'CX_RS_NO_CHECK' in class 'CL_RSTRAN_TRFN' during Transport of Transformation
Hi,
During transporting of transformation from DEV to QA I'm getting RC12. ST22 shows:
Exception 'CX_RS_NO_CHECK'
ABAP Program CL_RSTRAN_TRFN================CP
I checked notes 2224752 and 2148951, they were implemented, but error still occurs.
I checked TF with program CL_RSTRAN_TRFN================CP on both systems but it didn't return any errors.
Slowly running out of ideas, any hint will help.

Possibilities of getting external data into an DSO
Hello,
I have a question for the possibility of getting data into SAP BW from an external data source:
I have a external database (Exasol) and would like to read data from it and push it into BW. The main target would be to get them into an DSO.
Therefore I've write a small java program that loads data from the database and would like to push them from the java program into an DSO in SAP BW. Is there somehting like a sdk or library from sap that will help me to push the data directly into the DSO?
I would be also thankful for any other ideas to get the data from the external db into an DSO in SAP BW :-).

Enhancing Cube with New value field and it should be back posted
Dear Guru's,
I have requirement needs to be done which is we have got cube( which hold information about bar's)
1 hold's twelve years worth of data (253,296,530 million records)
2 basically it has got customer ship to number, number of taps according in each outlet(customer ship to) according brand of beer.
3 i have to create a new value field which is nothing but value field populated by posting a value of £X depending on brand of beer ( example if it is carling new value field should be multiplied by £3 for number of tap's available) and this should be back posted to twelve years worth of data .
4 we have about ten different beer brand so can this be done by creating one value field or ten different value fields?
5 is this achievable using Remodelling concept ?
6 is it better if it done at reporting level?
your help on this will be much appreciated......

Relational connection to BW in IDT 4.1

When I use relational connection to bw in IDT 4.1 I have the following tables (see attached file). Why i don't see DSO, Infoobjects which i have in BW ?
