Authorization Access using Custom Table

Hi everyone,

 

Here's my scenario: I want to restrict the data users can display in BEx queries by a specific list of company codes. The list will be maintained in a custom table that has: USER ID, Sequence No, Company Code

 

These are the steps I have taken:

 

1. Made the infoobject 0COMP_CODE Authorization relevant

2. Created a BEx variable of type Customer Exit, ZCOMPCODE and assigned it to 0COMP_CODE in BEx

3. I created a new authorization object in RSECADMIN, ZCOMP, inserted the Special Characters, as well as 0COMP_CODE, and assigned it the variable $ZCOMPCODE created in BEx

4. I assigned ZCOMP to a role and assigned that role to my test user

5. I created code in CMOD in the include ZXRSRU01 to carry out my logic to lookup the custom table with my list of company codes

 

Here's my issue:

 

My logic works fine, and the report only returns data for the company codes in the tables, ONLY if I also assigned 0BI_ALL to the S_RS_AUTH .

 

In other words:

     - if S_RS_AUTH only has ZCOMP, my authorization check fails.

     - if S_RS_AUTH has both ZCOMP and 0BI_ALL my report works

 

I have two roles assigned to my test user:

Z_COMP only has the S_RS_AUTH object in it

Z_REPORT_USER has all the other authorization based on template S_RS_RREPU. And I have deactivated S_RS_AUTH in it, as Z_COMP has it.

 

It seems counter intuitive to have to assign 0BI_ALL for my custom security to work, but not being a security person, I might have missed something, and would appreciate any input from the experts out there.

Hi All,

 

I want to apply debit/credit indicator sign on keyfigures value in a finance report

 

Example:

 

If Keyfigure   Debit/credit indicator = H then the keyfigures values should be Negative.

If Keygigure Debit/Credit indicator = S then the keyfigures values should be Positive.

 

Please let us now how I can achieve this.

Dynamic Infopackage Date Selection

Hi experts,

 

I have created a routine in the Fiscal Year/Period field in an infopackage, that dynamically determines the current and previous months based on sy-date.

 

My code has been working perfectly, however, now that we turned the new year, my code is correctly determining that the range to select is 012.2015 - 001.2016, but in practice it's selecting date out of that range, like 2005 - 2014.

 

Below is a screenshot of my load indicating how the range was correctly defined:

This infopackage is for datasource 0FI_GL40.

 

Any reason why the infopackage would select those additional dates? What would the resolution be to get it to work correctly? Instead of having a BT I would have two rows, one with the previous and one with current month with the EQ statement?

Translate menu options in BW Analyser (Workbook) to Business language (Spanish)

Hi BW Experts,

 

We have a requirement to translate the below menu options in BW Analyser (Workbook) to  Business language (Spanish).

 

We have translated all the fields including Name of the report but the below highlighted(with red) is not getting translated in the Menu option (chart, filter, information and table). Version : BW 7.0

 

Kindly provide your valuable inputs.

wad design format

                   i have one requirement like need to change the chart format in wad.i have given the screen shots of available format,and required format of the chart i need to change the chart accordingly.can you please help me over as it is urgent issue and i am not aware of wad. please help on this how to change the format of chart.points will be awarded accordingly.

Error in attached zipped report while broadcasting

Hi,

 

Tried broadcasting a BW report in BW 7.4 via HTML as zip file format.

Email is received to recipient but file size is in less kb and output format is in .css.

 

Kindly help me in this regard.

Finding Datasource for Report in BW

I am building a cost center Report . It looks like this:

1. I have found that datasource; 0CO_OM_CCA_20 has Characteristic: Cost Object, Cost element, Value, Costcenter. The other Charactersitics like Postingdate, Creditor, Cost Elementgroup i couldn't find them. Do you know how can we find these Info?

0PLANT_ATTR data source activation issue in ECC

Hi Guys,

 

I am facing a problem regarding activation of "0PLANT_ATTR"  DS through RSA5.

 

Whenever I'm activating the data source , it's getting activated(I can see in the log also), but in RSA6 the right most icon(Check mark,e.g. green or red) is showing red.

 

For the activated ones it shows green.for this one ,it's showing red.

 

I have tried FM "RSAOS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE" but no help.Even deletion and re activation is also tried, but it's in vain.

 

Any help?

RSD1 -> Repair Info Objects - Errors

Hi all,

 

After executing Repair Info objects. I'm facing the below error Message :

 

The Entry is missing in Table RSDIOBJ for infoobject CALYEARMT type version A

 

Message no : R7510

 

System response - Info object CALYEARMT is deleted in Version A.

 

My research and findings.

 

Basically, this Infoobject is not available in the Table - RSDIOBJ and also in RSA1. This object it self is not there in the system.

 

I did search in SCN and SAP Support but couldn't get any help

 

Could you please help me to fix this issue

SAP BW Upgrade 7.4 Error in pre-processing phase of drop and create aliases in shadow schema step.

In BW java upgrade to 7.4 from 7.0, we are getting below error in pre-processing phase of drop and create aliases in shadow schema step.

We are using MSSQL server 2012.Could you guys help me to resolve this. SUM used is SPS13 PL5.

Issue in Process Chain Trigger

Hello,

 

There is an existing process chain in my BW 7.0 system.  When i check the start variant of the process chain, the scheduling option 'Start using Meta chain or API' is selected but when i try to find the meta chain of this process chain through the table 'RSPCCHAIN', i do not find any meta chain.  This chain is currently getting triggered exactly at 11.10 am daily.  Now, i want this chain to be rescheduled to 3 am daily.  Since i did not find any meta chain to this, i changed the start variant of the process chain by by changing the scheduling option to 'Direct Scheduling' and gave 3 am as start time.  I activated and scheduled the process chain.  From the next day, the chain got triggered at 3 am and is also getting triggered at 11.10 am daily.  I tried replacing the existing start variant with a new one but even then the chain is getting triggered twice.  I am not sure how the 11.10 am job is getting triggered from.  I want to remove this 11.10 am trigger somehow.  Please provide your help on this.

Transport dump for job RDDEXECL RC =12 after BW 7.4 upgrade

Hi Guru,

 

          We just upgraded SCM 7.0 from EHP1 to EHP3 ( SP11) which contain BW 7.4.  Got issue when transporting BW objects from development system to testing system. I got short dump error (UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION) for job RDDEXECL with return code 12. When checking further in SM21, error occurred in class CL_RSTRAN_TRFN================CP source CL_RSTRAN_TRFN================CM03V at line 30. I installed a few OSS notes and even delete transformation and DTP in the target system and retransport. But it still didn't work. Anybody has this issue with the BW 7.4 ?

Is there any Standard BW Objects (InfoCubes / DSO's) which contains the details related to SOLAR_EVAL or Business Templates and Documentation information?

BW Statistics setting

Hello experts

I use BW statistics querybased onthe 0TCT_MCA1 cubeinstalled from Business Content.

Every daynew dataare loadedto statisticalcube.

The query display updated and correct data.

The problem isthe querydisplaysonlythe last 6 months.

Infocubealsocontainsdata ononly6months.

How can I change this default setting and increase it for 2 years?

Activation of DSO

Hi SAP Gurus,

 

Actually I am installing BI CONTENT and colllecting the objects in TR also. While installing BI CONTENT there are some objects which are inactive. The inactive objects till now i have seen is a DSO. So, as in BI CONTENT they are inactive ,after installation they are present as inactive objects. But when I am trying to activate that. It is giveing me errors like " it cannot be activated".

 

Some more errors are like " Data source doesnot exist in source system BWD100 of version A"

But data source is there in BWD100 in active form.

 

 

 

Please resolve the above issue.

Process chain-Failing

Hi All,

 

There are two chains running which are different and updating the same data target.

 

In that one chain run ever 4 hours and other runs once in a day. These two chains are getting clash during DSO(target activation ) and one is failing.Could any one suggest solution how to solve issue.

Message no. RSBK257 in 0HRPOSITION Master Data

Hi Everyone,

 

We have 0HRPOSITION master data being loaded every day through process chain in BW production system.

However, since last couple of months we are often getting its DTP from 0HRPOSITION_ATTR Data source getting failed with message no. RSBK25

Also, in Job Log we are getting the below error message :

On doing a repair step in process chain, this gets successfully loaded. However, we need to fix this permamently without any manual intervention.

For this, We tried re activating the transformation , deleting and creating a new DTP which worked fine for 12/15 days and again has started getting failed.

 

Please suggest.

Creating an ODP Source System

Hello,

 

I want to integrate C4C with SAP BW (7.40) and use the C4C system as reporting system.

 

I was able to create logical port for consumer proxy CO_RSDSPX_ODP_IN. Web service ping was successful.

 

Now I get this error when trying to check the web service configuration in RSA1.
