Data extraction from 0CO_PA_10

Hi Gurus,

I am trying to extract from 0CO_PA_10 but the load is filing with the below error message.

 

 

Error message from the source system

 

Diagnosis

 

An error occurred in the source system.

 

System Response

 

Caller 09 contains an error message.

 

Further analysis:

 

The error occurred in Extractor .

 

Refer to the error message.

 

Procedure

 

How you remove the error depends on the error message.

 

Note

 

If the source system is a Client Workstation, then it is possible that the file that you wanted to load was being edited at the time of the data request. Make sure that the file is in the specified directory, that it is not being processed at the moment, and restart the request.

How to change funcionality "Maintain Master Data" to RSA1 instead WebDympro (BW 7.4)

Hello Gurus,

 

Someone could help me?

 

In SAP BW 7.4 (Support Package 7) the BW master data maintain function moved from SAP GUI into web dynpro screen.

Can we use it (maintain master data) in SAP GUI RSA1 like SAP BW 7.3?


Is it a configuration in SPRO?

Error in user mapping between ABAP and Java

Dear all,

 

I just installed BW 7.40 with ABAP + JAVA. I ran the BI initial ABAP setup wizard and BI Java wizard.  After I finished all the configuration steps, I ran the Diagnostics & support desktop too and I am getting the following errors Web ABAP Setting

 

Reverse user mapping test by RSWR_RFC_SERVICE_TEST failed J2EE user 'Administrator' was mapped to ABAP user 'XXXX' which was mapped back to J2EE user 'XXXX' called

 

Check user mapping in the user administration. Ensure that by a roundtrip Java -> ABAP -> Java. the java user does not change.

 

I just wonder how can I change the J2EE user Administrator to 'XXXX' so the error won't happen again. Thanks all.

New Company Code in ECC, impact in Master and Transaction data loads

Hello,

 

A) I have a requirement where the user wants to Create New company codes in ECC. There is already a Delta load going on for existing PCA and CCA data (Master and Transaction).

 

My assumption is as follows.

 

1) The same master data loads will take care of loading new Company codes from ECC to BW

 

2) If there is data in ECC for the new company codes, then the existing Delta runs will also take care of pulling data for New company code as well

 

3) Need to check all cubes/places where Transasction data for new Company codes is being used?

 

B) Some Company codes are being moved from one Group structure to another e.g. Company from 1234 (Regional) to 9000 (Total).

 

In this case, I am a but confused as to how the data migration should happen..

 

Say from April 1st the users want to change the names in ECC, the Company 1234 will be re-named as 9000, is it at all possible or is it something not possible at all functionality wise...

 

If possible then how will BW loads impact ?

 

Even here I assume..Only the new data with new Company 9000 will flow in from ECC to BW as part of the regular Delta Transaction loads..

 

Please help.

Removing Process chain from schedule - Not working

Hi Friends,

 

I am not able to remove the process chain as i have selected the chain and from the Menu- Process chain -- Remove from scheduling .Still the chain is running.

 

We are using Version SAP BW3.5 and when i right click on the Start - Right click - maintain variant- the chain is meta chain .

 

Please suggest the steps for the same.

Question: DTP missing "Parallel" flag ?

Hi Guys

 

I have a question concerning the flag "Parallel extraction" in the DTP tab "Extraction".

When I create "the same" DTP in 2 different systems (Sandbox and Dev) the DTP does show the "Parallel extraction" checkbox in Sandbox but does not show in the Dev.

 

Background:

1. Sandbox is the a systemcopy of Production

2. I made a copy of "the same" cube on both system and created a new transformations on both systems

3. The source is a standard DSO

4. In sandbox the option is showing the dev the option is not showing.

 

Is there a system setting different or what am I missing?

 

System: 7.31 SP 11

BW report Input "1234 (1234Y)" for data code has an invalid format

Hi All,

 

When we running report in BW portal, the XYZ variable format “ 1234 (1234Y) “ is not allowing even the record exist in BW side. It’s working fine in BEx Analyzer and RSRT.

 

Only issue BW Portal

 

Validation Message: Input "1234 (1234Y)" for data code has an invalid format.

 

Same issue as like below thread

0Profit_Ctr Hierarchy

Dear friends,

 

Recently the business has introduced another layer to the Profit Center Hierarchy. In the past it was few profit centers were assigned to a Region like North, South etc. The new arrangement is profit centers are assigned to a Zone (Zone A, B, C etc) and then few zones are assigned to Region.

 

In 0Profit_Ctr InfoProvider, onlly the zones are seen under column Region. However, I can see the complete hierarchy arrangement under 0Porfit_Ctr hierarchy structure. But in the reports, I can only the zones. Please explain if anyone has gone through this scenario.

Budget Variance Report

I need to create a new report for Budget and Actual expenses by month and year. Business has provided the budget for the entire year divided into 12 months as an excel file. I get the actual expenses from APGL report. Now, need to create a DataSource & DSO for the budget file and combine that with the actuals to generate the variance report. Please help me with the design of the datasource and dso, with details of what fields to create in DS and DSO. Here is the output requirement.

is there any infoobject similar to 0calweek but only with the number of the week?

For example, 07.2015 but to get only the 07.

 

or if not, how could I to achieve this?

BI Content Overview Differences between 7.03 and 7.3 / 7.4

Hello,



we have an BI 7.03 Installation with MDM 7.10 and need to upgrade the system because the underlain netweaver 7.0 is going out of maintenance. For calculating the workload we like to have a table / list that shows the differences between BI7.03 content and 7.3 or 7.4 (objects etc.) All I could find where only general description, no precise information like "we deleted following objects in 7.4 that exists in 7.03 and these are the new in objects"

 

Does anybody knows where/how to find this information ?

Error in creating data Source

Hi,

I am trying to create data source in BW 7.3 system. The data source is being created on HANA view.

When I try to activate the data source I get an error " Field name XXXX of segment 1 exists multiple times"

 

The HANA view does not contain two columns with same name or description.

In the datasource, the PROPOSAL tab shows all the fields correctly. However, when I go to FIELDS tab I see the XXXX field twice.

There is no way I can remove one of the fields.

 

Error Message number is RSDS027.

 

Please help.

Data Store Object

Hi,

I am trying to create DSO while creating DSO i give one field as sematic key and two fields in data field (Fields are custom field ).

when try to display data in the DSO only one field is get displayed (the key sematic key field).How can I display other fields without making them as sematic key field.I am new to sap BI ,so please help me to resolve the issue.

Multiple line selection in WAD for RRI

Hi,

 

Requirement is to JUMP query(RRI) by taking in to account by multiple line in source query to the receiver query.

 

We are creating a report on contract spend in SRM, where bussiness is requested to have RRI based on ContractID. I am not able to achieve a RRI with multiple contract ID to fetch further details like how my  the PO and Invoice details in another query.

 

Please help me in this regards.

DSO Requirement

Hi All,

 

There is a requirement to load data from both Cube1 (PP data) and Cube2 (MM data) into a DSO.

The purpose is to have a single line of batch (ZBATCH) with both PP & MM data, having only latest data.

for this i have created this DSO with ZBATCH as the key, but the current design may not work - the data from PP cube will be overwritten by blank value later when MM data is being loaded if the same field is not in MM cube.

 

Can any please give me some ideas on how this can be done.

I m building a virtual provider (using standard characteristics) which shows data of a bpc classic cube, since it s my first time using this kind of infoprovider, I was wondering if you can share the known issues about mounting bex queries on top of virtual providers.

Unable to increase the length of existing info object

I have a requirement where I have to increase the length of existing objects which is used many DSO's and Cube's. I have data in all those targets.

After changing length it is not allowing me to activate the objects, it reamins in revised state.

 

Following are the errors,

 

@5C\QError@InfoObject ZXXXXX (or ref.) used in InfoProvider with data managmnt.-> Error:@35\QLong text exists@

 

@5C\QError@InfoObject ZXXXXX still being used in DataSore object ZXXXX(contains data)@35\QLong text exists@
