Hi Experts, Today one of my DSO activation step failed in process chain with below reason; Error during assignment of Request ODSR_XXXXXXXXXXXXX to Partition PSA update failed Process 000001 returned with errors we tried repeat but got failed with same error and ran the parallel process even though failed. GL Balances
Hi we have a trial balance report where we get debit and credit balance for the GL Accounts.Flow is based on datasource 0FI_GL_14.Most of the GL`s are matching with the FS10n T-Code in ECC but there are some accounts which are not matching.
On looking deep i found out that for some GL`s there are balances in 13th Period as well.While loading data to BW,we have loaded all 12 months period so how to get balances for this 13th Period??

Cube Load Problem: Characters ... between HEX00 and HEX1F!!!
Hi experts,
I have a problem during data load of 20 millions records to cube. The process stopped 9 hours after load start due to a problem with invalid characters in a record. Following is the error message:
Value "0000" from characteristic ZE1VSSNR contains an error at position 5
Message no. BRAIN290
Diagnosis
Characters that have a hexadecimal display between HEX00 and HEX1F are not permitted in characteristic values. The character at position 5 is one of these characters. The value is therefore not permitted.
Note that these characters cannot be displayed and are therefore displayed as '#'. The actual character '#' has the hexadecimal display HEX23.
Procedure
Check the origin of the characteristic value. If possible, change the characteristic value in the source.
Incorrect source text in update routines and transfer routines can also cause this problem.
Then, I searched for the record mentioned above in the entry layer DSO. The characteristic value is displayed as '0000#######'.
I know the BW automatically replaces those unprintable chars with the symbol '#'.
So I checked again in PSA to see if I could see the invalid chars. However, I could only see '0000 '.
Questions:
1. How can I see the invalid chars?
2. I have switched off "SIDs Generation upon Activation" for all the DSOs preceding the Cube. Is it the reason why this problem only occur during cube load?
3. Could you suggest me some solutions to this problem?
Since this is very urgent, your help is highly appreciated!!!

Problem with porcentual function in hierarchy
Hi friends;
I have a issue in bex query designer with a porcentual function. I attached an example of what I need, what I need is a percentage based on the total of each group of the hierarchy (0MATERIAL) and not on the overall total:
I test with %CT and %GT functions, but booth works with the total general, and not with total group...
Y need the values of the column "MIX (value OK group material" and not the values of the column "MIX (error)".

BW 7.4 Cannot Replicate 3.X Datasource
Hi experts,
we are on BW 7.4 SP08.
we want to replicate a custom datasource in 3.5 version, but I can't choose the option "All as 3.x datasource ISFS" because it is disabled.
Any ideas how we can enabled the option?

Bex query changes not reflecting in the Bex Reports
Hi Experts,
I have made the currency conversion change in one of the existing key figures definition in the Bex query and try to refresh the locally saved Bex report but the changes are not reflecting in the report however the report still showing the old values.
However creating a fresh report on the same query reflects the changes.
Please suggest how can I refresh the query structure in the locally saved Bex reports.

Program variant from selective deletion doens't transport
Hi experts,
I create a selective deletion in my Process Chain for DSO and Cube, because I have not found any other way to do this.
So I read in tutorial "Using Selective Deletion in Process Chains.pdf" how to do it.
In there, they use the t-code "DELETE_FACTS" to generate the deletion program and then create a variant for that program, with a selective deletion option.
So I did all this and create my Process Chain, that works fine.
I put the program and the variant in the request and try to transport to Production.
In production I see that the program is there, but not the variant.
I ask for you guys, why this variant didn't transport like the program did ?
The right way is to create te variant in Production ? If so, I need developer user to do it.

Migration from SAP BW 3.5 to 7.4 on HANA
Hello,
We are planning for a SAP BW 3.5 migration to SAP BW 7.4 on HANA. I have got some questions. Appreciate responses from Consultants who have faced these scenarios:-
1) Can the migration from BW 3.5 to BW 7.4 on HANA be done in a single step. Or should it be done in 2 steps (3.5 to 7.0 and then 7.4) ?
2) What is the latest SPS available on SAP 7.4 on HANA ?
3) Client is interested in implementing NLS. Should we go with the inbuild IQ NLS in the newer SPS or SYBASE IQ ?
4) Does it make any difference if NLS is installed in the new BW 7.4 HANA box and then migrated or vice-cersa ?
5) Can Analysis Authorization be implemented directly on SAP BW 7.4 on HANA if its a MANUAL approach ?
6) Is there an impact on the Bex Authorization variables after the authorization concept changes ?

Calculate Invoiced weight/ Ordered weight in 0SD_C03 InfoCube
Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to calculate the invoiced weight / Orderd weight. I knew that the 0SD_C03 contains orders, invoices and delivries items with all information like, Material, Company, Weight, Amount, Quantity...Etc.
I m confused on how to use this infoCube to calculate Invoiced weight / Orderd weight because this two mesures exists on different records. The first one, Invoiced weight, exists in invoices records. And the second one, Orderd weight exists on orders records...
Can you just guide me on how to calculate Invoiced weight/Ordered weight.

SAP BI/BW - Calculate the total on individual Columns on BEX

I have a situation using BEX query.
The case is as follows, I have several customers for different type of products.

I need the total of products (18, 19, 41) on a calculated key figure for each customer to be used in another formula.
It should look like this:

The issue I am having is that I am unable to get the total in the KFTotal key figure for each individual customer.
Until now, I have tried:
- Use exception aggregate in a formula with option “Summation” in reference to customer.
The issue here is that the KFTotal Keyfigure displays the individual value for each Product type instead of the total.
- Use Data function SUMGT on the values for each customer. The issue here is that I am having the total for all customers instead of each individual customer. I.e, all KFTotal will display 78 (18+19+41). I cannot use exception aggregate while using SUMGT.
- Use Data function SUMRT on the values for each customer. Same issue as with SUMGT.
- Use Data function SUMCT on the values for each customer. Values for KFTotal = X. I cannot work with this.
Can anybody please help me . How can I calculate the individual totals? I basically need the same total calculated locally for display in a calculated key figure.

Issue publishing new Webtemplates
Experts
Currently we are using BW 3.5 web templates and these are published under roles.
We created New web template in BI 7 and changed the DP(data provider) to the same BEx query which we were using in BW 3.5 web template.
Now the issue is ,when we publishing(using publish "To Role" option) this new web templates(BI 7) on same roles(used with BW 3.5 WAD) through BI 7 WAD its getting published.(we didn't saw any system error message).But when we actually going to our portal and opening these new BI 7 Web templates to run reports eventually,we are not seeing those are available in roles under portal(where we published) but we can see all BW 3.5 web templates and roles are there.
Is there anything we are missing here ? Please advise how to fix this.
