Nearline storage data archiving in BW and reporting on HANA

Hello Folks,

We are using Nearline storage technology to archive data in SAP BW DSO's. Now we are migrating from SAP BW 7.3 to HANA. I have few questions regarding the archived data.

Scenario: We have financial assets data stored in the NLS for Year 2001 to till date. I can see the requests in the 'Archiving' tab in Manage screen on a DSO. But I also see some requests from Year 2011 in the 'Requests' tab as well.my question are:

     a) When I see some requests in the DSO in parallel with NLS data (same year requests), does that mean data is also stored in the DSO in BW?

     b) How do I report/query on the archived data in BW. Do I need to do any settings or write programs?

     c) To report on this data in other system (HANA), what I need to do? Migrate all the NLS data to HANA or link HANA to the NLS? Is HANA compatible for this?
