I had created the below thread some months back for configuring email message alerts for programs in a process chain

I had implemented this change mentioned in the above thread and created messages, both for success and failure for ABAP Program and have given the mail id correctly.
What I note is when there is a failure in the program, I do not get email messages, however if there is a success, I immediately get an mail.
If there is an error in the program, then, once i click the log button, then I get the email. But this is not automatic.
I have tested this functionality with a standard SAP program too "RRHI_HIERARCHY_ACTIVATE" with a incorrect variant, and it does not seem to send out emails.
Can someone tell what other settings need to be done to fix the issue.
