InfoCube Remodeling - Remodel in each system separately?

Hi,

     I'm remodeling and I'm confident from what I can see that remodeling needs to be done in each system individually.  

     1. Is there anywhere in the documentation that might clearly indicate it is to be done separately in each system?
         I haven't been able to locate this in the documentation to verify.

     2. How do I know that after I remodel in each system and need to transport InfoCube later on I won't have problems?
