BEx Query Designer : Hierarchy Restriction Problem

Hi Experts,

We are creating monthwise ORG Unit hierarchy snapshots while loading data into BW (like ORGEH_201301, ORGEH_201302…). The same have to be read in the BEx queries based on the month input from the user.

If the user runs a report for November ’13 the ORG Unit hierarchy “ORGEH_201311” should be selected, and the query output should be restricted based on this hierarchy from November.

I have created a BADI variable for Hierarchy name which takes the month from user input and generates the hierarchy name ORGEH_201411.

Also the Org Unit characteristic has been added to the filter area of the query but restricting the query data is a problem.

Which values, variables should be given in the “right click > Restrict” popup of the Org Unit hierarchy.

Any thoughts on resolving this would be very helpful.
