Key Figure Aggregation setting

hi,

While creating Key Figures the Aggregation setting in the Aggregation tab , will that be used only for the display of the result in Bex.In addition to that will that have any effect during the creation of Aggregates on the Infocube where this Key figure is being used.Specify other areas where this setting will create an impact.
