Slowness in dataloads

Dear Experts,

we are facing system slowness during data loads in BW system after migrating from oracle to DB2 .

Basis team has recommanded to change the rsadmin parameter DB6_MDC_FOR_PSA to Yes
I checked the SAPNOte 832621 for more understanding.

However has any one tried to change the system parameter using DB6_MDC_FOR_PSA in BW system.
As I will be doing for the first time,hence trying to understand the pros and cons of doing this

Kindly suggest to proceed further.
