I got this error recently while loading a cube from a standard DSO. The strange part is when we repeated this load using a selective load, the same error did not occur (The transformation/formula was not changed). Trying to find root cause but not getting any serious reason for the failure.
This is the formula FISCPER_CALMONTH( RIGHT( 3, FISCPER ), 'Z1', FISCYEAR, 0 )
There are other posts on this topic but couldn't find it hasn't helped yet.

i'm following the below steps.
1. selecting the psa from the below screen, which appeared after giving transaction rsa1old.
2. Selecting the grids. Giving value as 1000000000 and selecting all records.
3. After this i'm getting below error. It is very urgent. please help me. I have to trigger load.

I have a scenario.
One Item has to deal with other item. Datamart from DSO1 to DSO2.
When we trigger a DTP Full load, Packet selection is going at every 100000 records.
Items under the same Document number are being split into two different packages. Is there a way to keep all the items related to one Document group in the same package?
Increasing the data package size cannot help in the case. I am dealing with millions of records.
Any insight on this scenario, how u handled this at your experiences will be of great help. Thanks.

I have a problem while creating my very first BW query. So this is hopefully an easy question for all of you. But I haven't been able to find a solution yet.
The task is to retrieve the number of new customers for a given date. There is an InfoProvider for it with an appropriate key figure.
When setting a filter to the creation date I get the number of new customers for this date. This is working well.
When adding for example the gender attribute as a row to the query I get the number of new female and male customers. This is working well.
But now I want to use the country attribute instead of the gender attribute in the query. When testing the query the number of new customers is set for the country value "# Not assigned" instead of showing the number of new customers for each country.
What's the reason for it? Is it a matter of the query or of the data?
The InfoProvider uses two key characteristics. One is business partner. If I use the business partner as row in the query and add its country attribute the query returns all the new customers with their correct countries. So the right data could be there. But why is the query not displaying all the countries when using the country attribute directly?
Any hints? What am I doing wrong?

I am unable to use ST14 tcode in BW 7.4. The system is telling this TCODE (ST14) doesnt exists. Please help me what is the alternative TCODE to get all details from ST14 Tcode.

Let me explain the issue .Actually I have Test data from Flat file to infoobject like ZCOMPID and ZCOMPNAME .i made ZCOMPID as a target and added ZCOMPNAME in Attributes tab.loaded data in infocube.
and later I Added one measure ZCOMPSAL to flat file in order to load data in to infocube
I created and added dimensions and key figures created new data source added flat file and after that while creating transformation i am not able to see ZCOMPNAME in transformation i added this in ZCOMPID Attributes tab. so in infocube under dimensions i added ZCOMPID which was main infoobject

I Joined both COMPID and COMPNAME to ZCOMPID after activating i am getting below error
Any ideas?
Do i need to add ZCOMPNAME into dimensions also in infocube?
Please show me the right path where i am going wrong

Hi All,
We have a logic present in transformation from PSA to DSO. PSA holds full load every week and it holds history requests also containing 2 years .The PSA has 30 million records.
The logic is if more than one comp id is coming from the 30 million records(including current request),then stamp 1 in the COUNT .
That means, the target dso has to store the number of duplicate comp id's from the source.
This is achieved by sort statement by comp id and collect statement for count.
for example
Source PSA
COMPID DATE TIME and some other fields.
101 28/03
101 29/03
102 30/03
Target DSO
COMPID DATE TIME COUNT.
101 29/03(latest date) 2
102 30/03 1
The issue is data load takes 1 day to complete the entire load because the entire 30 million records are compared (30 million times in loop statement) to identify the duplcate records every week along with the current week request.
Can you please suggest the approach to reduce the time duration.
I feel that scaning the two years psa request will take lot time.So If I load first to write optimized dso without any logic and then I load to the standard DSO will reduce few hours instead of modifying the existing code.

1. The following exception occurred when a user wanted to save the data after a planning function was executed from a planning folder. No errors were indicated on any of the planning functions that were executed in the background. The error only realised when the save button was pressed.
What happened ?
Exception 'CX_RS_POGRAM_ERROR' was raised , but was not caught anywhere along the call hierarchy. Since exceptions represent error situations, and this error was not adequately responded to, ABAP program 'CL_RSDRH_HIER_CACHE==========CP' had to terminated.
2. The following program was used to correct the issue, SAP_DROP_TMPTABLES, and only temp hierarchies were selected for deletion. After the program was executed the data could be saved without any short dumped.
3. The QUESTION is , what is the cause of the error / short dump? There is no history of this specific error on the system, previously the same process was executed without any problem. No changes were done on the system. BW was upgraded last year OCT 2015 to 7.4 support pack 012. The above exception occurred during JAN 2016 onwards.
4. Maybe a solution will be to activate the tables for the hierarchy on the database level again?
5. Any suggestions / recommendations will be appreciated on how I can prevent the occurrence of this error again.

Hi experts,
We're starting an upgrade to BW 7.40 and all of our users run GUI 720.
We already know that is out of maintenance and this is not recommended by SAP and that this BW version was released after the exit of maintenance of the GUI version, but we have to manage some questions like the following ones.
Is there any compatibility problem with this GUI version and this BW version?
Is there any official document that proves that or not or that obliges an update of the GUI?
As for us, our experience has not found any sort of problem, but, you know, we can't guarantee it without a certificate documentation.
Has anyone ever been in this kind of situation?

But already delta is running fine.
my question is with out disturb the delta .....how to load the data to the cube without disturb the delta queue and also have to populate the data to the historical document also.

Please can you advise:
I intend to delete all master data from InfoObject 0customer as it has wrong entires.
I do note the following fact from SAP "In order to delete master data, there must be no transaction data in the BW system for the master data in question. It must not be used as an attribute for InfoObjects, and there must not be any hierarchies for this master data."
I have done a "where used" on 0customer and see that 0customer is used in certain Cubes and DSO's, so I plan to delete the contents of those targets.
1. I also see that 0customer is a reference characteristic of many InfoObjects - must I therefore delete the contents of those data targets that those InfoObjects exist in?
2. I also see that 0customer is used as an attribute of many InfoObjects - must I therefore delete the contents of those data targets that those InfoObjects exist in?
3. Is there any other fact that I am not taking into consideration?

My requirement is provide a prompt based on 0FISCPER(default to current fiscal period) & restrict a key figure from fiscal period start to current fiscal period(i.e. YTD). Does SAP has given any exit to achieve these 2 requirement.
I know of writing customer exit to achieve the solution for above 2 but I am looking if SAP has some delivered content on this.

My requirement is to do a broadcast of report as at attachment(excel attachment) but also if the report tis blank for any selection , there should not be any empty sent out i.e If there is no data in report for selection used for broadcasting, an empty attachment should not go to the mail id mentioned. So no data in report means no mail sent out
I know the option of 'Broadcasting via Exception' but then we cannot have report output as attachment. so please suggest .
